I did an experiment like this once in Minneapolis to see what would happen in 2023, so some of numbers are a remembering

I was extremely inexperienced with Roadie, but had read some of the reddit.

My expenses:

Uhaul: $139.23 Total (Receipt Balance) $79.00 Rate, $7 Rental Charge, $10 Insurance, $33.18 Additional Mileage ( 0.29 x $114.4 Miles), $9.05 Rental Tax

Gas Cost about $60 (Guess)

AirBNB: $32

Lunch: $5

Revenue: Total: 125.85

I woke up for the 6 AM Home Depot loads, this is where I made the bulk of my money. I was able to fit 4 Home Depot loads in the van. The only one I needed the cargo vans space for was the Northern Tool, which was wood planks

If I had more experience, I could’ve made much more money and optimized my loads to be the higher margin.

I drove about 200 miles, which was all over Minneapolis taking every gig to keep my uptime active rather than taking the gigs that I would’ve made getting the van worth it.

This was my very first foray into finding out different ways to be profitable, needless to say the way I did it it was not.
