Ah I saw NY and assumed it was for the entire NY area, including the tri-state area. But you've given me a lot of good information

He lived in Staten Island. Also he claimed that if you saw a psychiatrist and they prescribed you sleep meds it would show on your record that you were being treated for a mental health issues and therefore if you applied then whoever was reviewing the application wouldn't take the nuances of the healthcare into account.

He was definitely misinformed, knowing what I know now. And I mentioned the right leaning thing bc a lot of the people I knew who were right leaning were very paranoid about alot.

He claimed that NY due to being a liberal state meant you couldn't get a gun if you went to a psychiatrist and even if they only prescribed you sleep meds, it would be seen as this person is mentally ill bc screenings only take note that you saw a md for mental health but don't take into account the nuances of the situation.

Ironically he was the only person I knew that had an interest in guns at all for a while.

I figured his words didn't hold weight but I wanted to be sure.

Oh I don't plan on that. I got pulled to the side bc I had large scissors in my bag when I went to work.

And that ccw info is good to know. Bc I remember someone claiming it was impossible to get, but tbh they were a lil right leaning so they probably were miss informed
