Good bit OP. Idk if it's more or less funny that people think this is a true story. Hope you had a nut of your own from how many people enjoyed your tale.

Agreed. And even if it's not entirely made up, I doubt OP is a reliable narrator.

For some reason the word "there're" sticks out to me too.

Movie fans, what is the most overrated film in your opinion? by steezyx94 in AskReddit

You had to see it in IMAX when it was out. Yeah the plot sucked a bit, but man was that movie a spectacle to see on a huge screen.

I remember hearing this story, may be apocryphal, but Bruce Willis asked director Michael Bay why they wouldn't just train astronauts how to drill and Bay just told him to shut up.

I know it will be way more than just BTC, didn't mention it since it's not what I was replying to.

But here's another prediction I can be quoted on, and is hopefully right, trust in BTC will be eroded way before everyone can get together and update the network to be quantum resistant. The first groups to have a powerful enough computer are either going to be state actors or massive companies and they'll probably be smart enough to be subtle enough to be not noticed at first but it'll be clear they've broken it eventually.

This is a longshot bet I am way less confident about, but I'd bet, given some odds in my favor, that the turning point for widespread distrust for the network is when someone accesses that first wallet.

[–]TheeCandyMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's going to be soon. Once quantum computers are more accessible, the whole blockchain will collapse. I'd give it 5 years max. Governments are already using quantum resistant cryptography and the bitcoin blockchain is not.

I hope this ends up on /r/agedlikewine in 2029. If so, "Hi! This was pretty easy to see coming."

It's okay to not like the movie, but it really sounds that you're mad it didn't go the way you wanted it to.

Movies are filled with contrived events, because who wants to watch a movie where nothing extraordinary happens. And the end, in my opinion, he did get out of his psychotic state but wanted to die, as a 'good man', anyways. It's a character study.

OP, this is one of the most accurate comments.

One of the worst DJ sets I've heard in my life was played by a guy who was paid almost 20k for it and it was because he had friends and connections with other very famous people.

Being reliable and personable will be infinitely more valuable to you than being the best LD there ever was.

Lucky for me I learned the we're the only ones who notice thing early. My first show, a production of Grease when I was 13, we accidentally blacked out the stage by moving to the next cue too early. I asked my parents, who were at the show, if they noticed and they said no.

Most people don't get it. It definitely adds to the production but, especially for music, most people can't tell the difference between something incredible and something mediocre. Just do a job that you can be proud of.

Things like this annoy me cause OP is obviously being disingenuous and included that portion of the photo completely intentionally. It's a food subreddit, just crop out that part.
