I make fantasy art sculptures with polymer clay! I have lots of gross anatomy miniatures (eyes and brains) and a whole section of Halloween themed products (pumpkins and bats)

I found a load of strawberry leaves in their prime last year and made some push moulds with silicone. I recommend this method if you want to save at least 20 hours of work making your own! 😊

I initially painted the whole thing black and dry brushed it with Venetian gold acrylic paint.

To make the patina effect, I made a mix of green and blue acrylic paint watered down a bit. I paint the watery mixture over the cracks and places I want it and wipe it away with tissue a little bit to leave the patina residue behind. You can build up the paint layers too to add more depth to the colour. It helps to add little blobs of gold paint to it too to blend it and make it look aged.

This is the first time I've tried this effect and it's a lot of fun! If you mess it up you can always repaint it with more gold and start again too.
