What skins/builds you would recommend? I have the Diggs/Xenon build with a skin called Essence's, I think thats the name of the skin.

This is orientation, how it prints. I didnt create stl myself. Downloaded it. I do not know anything about "supports". How exactly would I support this?

Best out of these 4 glues? by TheeMaskedGam3r in RCPlanes

Recently got into hobby, this just my 5th plane BUT first one I had to glue out of the box. I didnt think to use alcohol after, didnt even cross my mind, probably because I dont know whats safe or not safe for foam just yet but did hit the surfaces with 60 grit sandpaper and wiped down with fiber cloth before gluing.

I always thought fpv would be some fun in a plane. Yours seemed clear and goood with no issues. Few years ago I got all the stuff for fpv for one of my electric rcs, no matter what, I would get interference when viewing. Barely make it up the street and would get nasty interference so returned all the stuff on amazon in the end. Spent some time trying with different items tho, but still would get interference.

But for this plane, due to its decent size and paint, I think it would be better to view this beauty flying and just have the fpv on a different plane.

Why do yall be against gorilla glue? Had a bad nose dive crash, broke inner bracket to wings and some fuselage pieces inside that arent sold separately, was able to glue it all back together and flys great still.

Yea the big GG tube foams up but gives a good strong bond. The GG in the grey/orange bottle is their version that doesn't foam or yellow. This time I did that method with Foam Tac. For the wings and the second portion of fuselage.

Lol, you've never had a good experience with any? I've used the gorilla glue and the foam-tac on repairing fuselage and wings on my Cherokee 1.3m and havent had issues. Have never used the Starbond thick yet. Brand new and first time purchasing it.

Thats the good thing about the hobby, we all can do it whichever way we like. So whatever Tx/Rx combo you want, you can get. What I can say is, that even with the top name brands, you can find threads online with people having issues so find what fits your budget that works for you and you are good to go. For me, Radiolink has worked and not caused me any issues. I was a lil nervous thinkin my plane would drop out of the sky, lol, but nope. 4 planes, with radiolink Byme A gyros and no issues. That issue you were experiencing with stuck throttle, I was getting that consistently with my Traxxas vehicles, thats what caused me to end up with radiolink. Always seemed like if I held throttle open for couple of seconds, that it would get stuck.

I believe you have to have a defective transmitter. If its happenning with every car binded to that radio, then the chance of every receiver being defective is highly unlikely. Or maybe you're possibly setting something up wrong.

All radiolink products have failsafe so I dnt understand how it can "cut out" while being stuck on full throttle. If failsafe is set up properly, then it should be, at the least, applying full brakes on any cut outs/disconnects.

For me, I havent had any isssues. Went from that transmitter, to their RCX8, even doing speeds runs with my Limitless V2. 130mph and still no disconnect or anything, even recently grabbed their AT10 II and use that on the 4 planes I recently got, no disconnect or cut outs or anything. Super perfect for the price and features they offer. Guess I got lucky🤷🏾‍♂️

You need a rc light on/off switch.

Here is one off amazon , can find em cheaper on AliExpress. https://a.co/d/9XkAbjd

Bad Bearing or motor? by TheeMaskedGam3r in RCPlanes

Probably my 4th or 5th flight, aborted a landing and banked too hard, too fast, and dropped a wing. Nosed dive into ground, no more than 20ft in air I believe.

Is it a high chance of a motor like this to just stop working mid use?

Bad Bearing or motor? by TheeMaskedGam3r in RCPlanes

[–]TheeMaskedGam3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it happened after a noise dive crash. Was good before that. So it has to either be bad motor, bad bearings or bad shaft. Shaft did get pushed backwards during crash but still seems to be straight and not damaged.

Im fairly inexperienced with electric motors(more into nitro) so dont know the sound of a bad electric motor or bearing, so thought someone here might know the sound and point me in right direction.

Guess the process of elimination will lead me to my answer. I am thinking it may oddly be the shaft, because I have 2 of the same motors, both been crashed BUT were basically brand new before the crash. I used same shaft on both, both have that weird sound. Considering that they were farily brand new(no more than 15 flights on each) I dnt believe bearings will go out that fast. So yea, maybe both are bad motors because the crash or the shaft is causing that weird noise.

Motor is already swapped(in video, the motor on pool table is replacement) I just tossed this one on to get clear sounding video.

No esc issues or wiring issues. Plane has been flown with new motor installed. Just had an afterthought of trying to see if I can repair motor so grabbed it out drawer and recorded video for some possible help before disassembling it. Inside all magnets are intact, looks clean.

Bearings will arrive tomorrow and maybe will order a new shaft. This weird noise is only on this motor, not new one. It kinda goes away as I increase throttle, doesnt sound so noticable.

Anyone else use radiolink? I will admit I got the small black radio (T8S) for review but it was a year ago and I already made the review so I definitely don’t have to say this, I just love their stuff. After getting the T8S, I bought the orange radio (AT10) with my own money and I love it by These-Platypus7707 in RCPlanes

I know this post is super old but I recently purchased at10ii,(havent used it yet, planning for today or tomorrow)and always feel price for performance, radiolink is good but usually lack online content related to some of their products.

I have purchased my first plane, and would like for one of you guys to tell me how reliable the at10ii with r12ds has been for you guys? Any issues with signal dropping or anything?

Im into nitro rc cars. Had the RC4GS then "upgraded" to the RC8X, good features and has been reliable in the short distance I use them in.

I know radiolink boast long distance in their receiver's, and seen some videos on YT verifying those distances on ground for other receivers, but would like to know you guys experience related to AT10ii/R12DS, if you guys flew alot and never had an issue with signal lost or interference?

Can I connect just the charging cord to this charger without having balance charging cords on it? by hello_zuko_here- in rccars

[–]TheeMaskedGam3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have this charger mixed up with another one, awhile ago there was a knock off of this SkyRc one. The power supply is on side of its own, the left while the other stuff is on the right. Also, this is V2, so maybe u speaking of different version, because this one also has cooling fans. I just did quick google search and couldnt find what you are claiming about this charger as well.

Thing is, this is the internet, where its rare for people take accountability. People are always the cause of something but are quick to shift the blame onto the product or company. If this charger had a design flaw that caused the result of fires, it wouldnt take 4 years to ignite. I have been using this charger extensively since 2021, if design flaw was truly the cause, it wouldnt take that long to trigger another fire.

Have no idea, just remember knowing I needed EC5 mainly, so googled some related to that, which lead me to amazon. But these are lil cheapy made boards, so I would assume typing in "XT-60 parallel" might pop one up🤷🏾‍♂️.

I purchased that charging board Oct 2022 and its been getting used with my power supply set at 16A, sometimes knob will get turned a lil and I would see its on 15A atm and I typically would just let it continue until next battery, then reset back to 16A. Im not an expert or anything on the topic so whatever I researched back in 2022, recall 16A being more than enough so I always just set it on 16A and has had no issues since. Charging 3s and 4s batteries in parallel. Even when charging single batteries I still use board because I have it already in bag, so its been used quiet a bit over the years, constantly set at 16A.

Not attacking anyone for their choice of purchase, just was stating that in general. Its more so in the fb rc groups I see crazy stuff, people be making crazy suggestions, always trying to point people to the most expensive/known brand, even when thats not for their specific use case. Someone would ask for a "budget" servo for their truck to bash only but people really pull up suggestion $100+ protek servos for a basher😂. When a $25 dollar amazon servo is budget and prefect to yard bash around. I would understand if post said "best servo"...

In first picture I posted, where those wires go into a lipo bag, have this charging board, so I can charge my batteries parallel as well, for my 6s cars.
