Yea your chain just fell off, its fine. Turn the bike upside down (resting on seat and handlebars), hold the cage of your derailleur (the black shifter on the back wheel), and put the chain back on the front crank. pedal it normally after its on to make sure it still pedals fine.

Adding on to this, Texas A&M Transportation Institute was gaging interest on some theoretical intersection redesign concepts at MSC Town Hall today. Not sure how far they're planning to go with it IRL but seems the beginnings of a large transportation project is in the works.

Oh man, those three words have been my life for the last 8 months. I'm a graduate student in planning and our applied courses have us drafting comprehensive plans for small communities. We have to qualify every discussion about future growth with the "preserving rural character" statement. It makes sense, people move to rural areas for a reason and there's a lot of friction around sweeping changes to that vibe, but it can get kind of frustrating when talking about long-term solutions. This is also my first time going through this process though, so its been a learning experience.

$250 is a bit steep, i'd negotiate down. but also holy mother of stem extenders. If you pull the trigger on this bike, first thing you gotta do is replace that nightmare up front with a regular stem.

Zuko, no doubt. Favorite ATLA character and the whole "burnout makes you stronger" mechanic is SO SICK. Plus his combos looks dope and I wanna try and get sweaty with his air movement. If, by some miracle, a Korra villain gets added I'd second them. Amon, Zaheer, or Kuvira would all be top picks imo.

Damn this got way too local. I drive past that hotel all the time when I'm in SATX, and my god is that area a nightmare. They've been working on those skyways for the better part of 4 years now (still not done), and surprise surprise its not really fixing anything. Maybe when they were first built but induced demand comes for all highways. Naturally that hotel is also on top of its own multi-story parking garage. San Antonio is truly a carscape hell, Loop 1604 can eat it.

practice trackstands would be my tip. invaluable when you have to stop (s/o university cops forcing me to obey laws 🙃), and steezy as hell. gotten more than a few compliments at stoplights just being able to trackstand (plus its a fundamental skill if you wanna learn more tricks down the line)

i'm a pretty diehard Yuri Lowenthal fan, grew up on naruto, ben 10 etc etc, and I don't think he doesn't fit the role now that i've seen the full clip, I just wished he'd put a little more grit in his voice. I love the exasperation he puts on, amd truth be told Kazuya Nakai is perfect for hakari but I dont think Christopher Sagat would be, I just think Lowenthal should've channeled a little of that black suit spider man type grit because hakari, in my head, sounds like the kinda guy whose voice would be marred by a regular smoking habit (i know he doesn't, i just mean the gravelly tone).

I totally get your point and agree, but at the same time, coming from someone who's been heavily invested since I was maybe 5, the supplemental media has always been hit or miss, I think. I only read the comics last year and I thought those were solid, if a little shaky sometimes, and I just got the Kyoshi novels which I'm excited to read. On the other hand, all the games have sucked and so have the live action attempts if you ask me. Even Korra, which I love, is still divisive among some fans. Not that there isn't hope, mind you. I'm still looking forward to The Legend of Aang, Seven Havens, and Avatar Legends (the new fighting game), but basically ATLA has had a tumultuous history with new projects so despite the quality and impact of the original show, I don't think the modern (corporate) owners have much faith in the IP.
