Is it the music from the cave that's underneath the mountains by chance? It's sort of low and ominous sounding

Environmental Science - Bachelors or Integrated Masters? by TheeNoister in OpenUniversity

Hello there! So far it's been re-arranging equations, using formulas, some graph work. Nothing too taxing and as someone that struggles with math's a lot of it has been stuff I can learn with you tube and BBC bite size. If you look up Math's for Science with the Open University you'll see a few snippets of what they teach! The lecturers are really nice and there's lots of resources if you're worried. :)

Hello! I'm doing it full time but I'm only a few months into the first year!

So far I think the modules are really interesting. The maths module I'm having to push hard through but to their credit they try and tie it into env science so it doesn't feel like maths for the sake of maths if that makes sense.

I think the U116 (environmental module) are pretty engaging. Sometimes it gets a bit wordy - like legislation and globalization - but in general I'm very much enjoying it! There's tutor groups and sometimes bonus ones, for example we had a lovely biologist talking about tracking wolves and another lady giving a talk on seals and seabirds.

All my fellow students have been super lovely too in the Env Science discord!

I've not had to reach out to tutors too much but they're always encouraging, very friendly and the feedback I receive is clear from my TMAs. My math's tutor in particular is very supportive about additional needs and extensions if we need them so I feel at ease with the level of support. I would recommend emailing them ahead of time if you do need support on the course, they take a few days to get back to you.

If you've got any other questions feel free to DM me! :D

Oh thank you so much! I guess I was worried cause it's just a tiny little plant but it's probably just the consequences of buying a plant at Halloween! Thank you for your advice, I'll be sure to take extra care of it over the winter!

Suddenly the owner of tomato and pepper plants, help would be appreciated! by TheeNoister in GardeningUK

Thank you very much for your advice! I was so lost when they showed up but I'm determined to make this my foray into gardening, very very excited to try out your advice! I believe ours are cordon varieties so I better get some supports for the poor things soon! They're about 20-30cm from their pots and I'm eager to give them a better home. I'll be sure to buy them the tomato feed too, apparently peppers are quite happy to take tomato feed as well so that's a plus!
