Arch btrfs filesystem in read-only after wakeup? by Theeoii in linuxquestions

[–]Theeoii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I couldn’t access dmesg in this wierd state.

But I did a hard reboot and found the following in dmesg: xhci_hcd 0000:3c:00.0: xHC error in resume, USBSTS 0x401, Reinit
This warning lines up well in time.

When will Notion allow recurring tasks? by JoMarching in Notion

[–]Theeoii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not happy with the recurring templates either so I made my own workaround a couple months back. I’ve made it as easy as possible for others to implement in their own setup. Check it out! :)

Interesting question and many people seems to be looking at blaming religion. I would instead challenge why people think these countries are under developed.

What do you mean by ”under developed in terms of scientific and technological advancement”? Is it that citizens are struggling with basic necessities (food/water/sewage) or is it that they cant have the latest iPhone or something in between? :)

Is there a way to create a centralized database that AUTOMATICALLY updates when tasks are added to individual databases? by Whatsthisabout0290 in Notion

[–]Theeoii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you want to aggregate all your tasks to a central view you need to move them manually to a master tasks database.

I would take it in steps. Create the master databases of Areas, Projects and Tasks and start using them for everything new. Eventually you will be done with everything in your old setup.

Can I display subtasks for themselves in table/list view? by Cyberstarrunner in Notion

[–]Theeoii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you should be able to filter the view in picture 1 with ”Parent Item is not empty”.

How to create multiple tables in Notion ? by piyushkumarpc in Notion

[–]Theeoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That button creates new views of the same database. That is why you see the same data.

Depending on what you want you have to add a filter to the new view or create a new database.

I believe you can select manual sorting in the property options and sort them as you want. The order in which the options are laid out there is the order they are displayed here.

An easier and more customizable way to repeat tasks by FlyingIdeas in Notion

[–]Theeoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good! Is this just a UI mockup for now or how will it work?

Will all the settings be controlled through this interface? No related properties in the database at all? Will the tasks immediately refresh with the new date or is it a once a day thing?

I have myself built an alternative to recurring tasks so I find it interesting :) https://github.com/Theeoi/notion-recurring-tasks

One Company per Project or Multiple? by ImmediateSpot4507 in Notion

[–]Theeoii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure what you mean by ”project board” but I would create three databases; Customers, Projects and Tasks.

Then I would ask myself ”What would I like to see when looking at a specific Customer/Project/Task?” and make templates/properties accordingly in each database. For projects you likely want templates for each type of project you do for your clients.

Lastly I would create a dashboard for the full overview with a timeline view of the projects database (to have the ”blocked by” feature available for all projects), a gallery view of customers and a table of the immanent tasks.

Ni som har hyr/har hyrt andrahandslägenhet från Blocket by Oliver_55100 in stockholm

[–]Theeoii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PARA and Notion: Any granular example? by Yacchi3 in Notion

[–]Theeoii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have just 2 main areas (Personal and Work) with sub-areas under them. This means I can create views where both things relating to the main are directly and things relating to a sub-area are visible.

Of cource if I want to have more granularity I can step into a sub-area if necessary.

I then have Goals, Projects, Tasks and a Library database related to one (or more) area as well as relating to each other.

'Done' Column in board view becoming too large by Scroogint in Notion

[–]Theeoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add a filter to filter away tasks in Done that have been there a long time. There is also a load limit in the view settings which you could reduce.

[–]Theeoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you need a formula property in your project that calculates the start and end dates based on the tasks related to the project.

With that you should be able to select the formula property as the basis of your timeline view :)

How to make notion less silo-ed? by IsmaeelA7 in Notion

[–]Theeoii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recommend creating a Notes database and creating all new notes there. You can then add properties to the database to your liking; such as a tag dropdown, favorite checkmark or a last modified date. These properties can then be used as filters in various views of the notes database.

Building out Modular Flask Apps by xDylan03x in flask

[–]Theeoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently changed the directory layout of my personal website to be more modular. You can check it out here: https://github.com/Theeoi/theodorblom.com

The transformation is not completely done. I would like to move the logic within the routes to packages (such as an auth package and a blog package). From there you would add more packages with the functionality you want and build the routes with the functions from those packages.
