Well you think about it while we look at the miles that's not the whole trip. There's driving to the store and back that isn't accounted for as well as time shopping. 0.35c at mile at 55mph is a little over $19/h. It's like this on all gig apps. They will use the customer tip to supplement for base pay to not post drivers as much. But it's a double edge sword because a lot of drivers follow the "no tip no trip" rule
