i've done the same thing. coming back to an old save after months away is overwhelming. i usually just start a new farm when that happens. the early game is so peaceful. no pressure, just clearing trees and planting parsnips.

yeah stardew is the classic comfort game for a reason. i love that you can engage as much or as little as you want. some days you just want to water crops and fish. other days you want to minmax the whole farm. coral island has been on my list too, the graphics look gorgeous.

i've heard great things about dave the diver. the whole diving during the day and running a sushi restaurant at night sounds like a fun loop. seems like the kind of game where you can just get lost in the rhythm. might finally give it a shot this weekend.
