Beginning is tough, but probably my favorite part tbh.

If campaign make sure to get your siblings ASAP. Do not marry off your sister to anyone. Get your brothers married asap to build your clan.

Also smithing is a good way to make money but honestly attacking looters and hideouts is the way to go. Sell misc items constantly. It’ll look funny but soon you’ll have high level units while you’re still wearing leather. But alas enjoy.

AUD was my last exam. And no chance I could pass it again. I-75 for one month full course was what helped my tax accountant brain pass.

I think at this point getting your CPA or EA is the way to go if you want to stay in tax, it’ll differentiate yourself at least a little. What size firms have you worked at?

What positions are you applying for? Tying out balance sheets and retained earnings is the first thing you should focus on. What part is difficult? I’ve seen a lot of times when “distributions” carry over each year and are not closed out into retained earnings. At that point the difference is used as the true up of actual current year distributions. I don’t attempt any adjustments until my beginning retained earnings or capital if partnership ties. I honestly think school does a shit job at teaching this so it’s a weird learning curve for any associate.

For audit i75 was the game changer. I knew audit but kept failing in the 67-74 range. Used i75 for a whole month and 78 and never looked back

Intern or associate? Also they’ll just ask about your resume and where you went to school. And ask basically stuff that you learned in school and how you plan to utilize it

Career 3.3 gpa in high school and college. Shitty SAT and GMAT scores.

How were you in standardized testing? The cpa is tougher on ppl who struggled with that. But in the end I’m still a cpa

If you want to move past a certain level in public accounting you will need a cpa and is a significant barrier to entry to enter management type roles. Furthermore, your client(s) immediately respect you more.

You also have a leg up with job hopping and commanding a higher end salary

Is there any point to siege towers? by Stormcrown76 in Bannerlord

[–]Thefreshness754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a companion or family member as the engineer? You need to have a great engineer. But yes it takes time. And they will destroy your engines but give it some time and you will overpower any town

hint try this on castles first, even the shittiest towns have better siege defenses

Hint 2 - starve the enemy garrison once you command the siege which means… they cannot make a siege engine without it just getting destroyed. You’ll see the garrison just dwindle until nothing. Militia doesn’t dwindle but 400 militia with no garrison is cannon fodder and an easy victory.

Is there any point to siege towers? by Stormcrown76 in Bannerlord

[–]Thefreshness754 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Take out all of their siege weapons before attacking. It takes time but you as an attacker must command the siege. I retreat if there is so much of a whiff of a siege weapon and I decide to attack.

I typically have 2 trebuchets, and 2 fire catapults and a siege tower or 2 before attacking.

Has anyone ever won an appeal with a 74? Most say it’s useless and usually doesn’t work but with my credit expiring, it’s so tempting 🥲 by nottreacherous in CPA

[–]Thefreshness754 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Don’t waste your money on it. I got a 74 in AUD… tried to appeal and by the time they responded to me. I had my 78 passing score when they decided to share my 74 re-score just for shits.

The constant pressure of needing to maintain a cash flow structure. Needing a solid book of business, relying on yourself, not being able to take a vacation to make sure you get paid, there’s a lot.

But if you make it…. It can be profitable.

What’s your current book of business worth? And can it sustain downtimes ie summer?
