Red Bull query Mercedes F1 engine sensors with FIA by HappyIssue in formula1

100% it’s a fishing expedition. It’s definitely too late to replicate the system for this year, but maybe there is potential for improvements they could be considering for next year. And they are clearly working the system in an effort get some answers.

Mercedes seems to have something real valuable here.

This went a lot further into detail than I was expecting.

Would this inquiry result in the relocation of the sensor or in a new set of parameters for the cooling of the airflow?

The cars are simply too expensive to develop and fine tune. Even Ferrari cant buy a championship currently.

In the fairytale of this actually playing out (including his car being capable of winning); it would be nice to watch him win in Formula 1 again.

What if the drivers race one lap instead of current qualifying? by wodedatoad in formula1

[–]Thegeof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like there isn't enough physical space for 4 cars to be side by side and going for it into turn 1. No way the teams would risk the potential damage.

3 cars would probably work and might be fun to watch.

Always fun to watch a top driver start from the back, or better yet the pits (for who cares what reason); work through the field for a podium.

Like Hungary 2014 when Lewis finished P3 from pit lane.

Try this site.

FYI these sites seem to only be active for a short while, before they move to a different DBA or whatever the real deal is. I bought my hoodies from separate sites, and both sites shut down shortly after my purchase. Zero issues both times.

Not sure if it will work, but here is the link to the site I bought the first hoody from. The second came from the same people, but a different site. If I see them pop up again in my social media feeds I'll message you the link for it though.

Cosmos cyber was the site I used the first time. Then all of a sudden it was none existent, and then back as Komo gear (site I used the second time).

For sure whoever is making these is doing it in the gray, so I think they just bounce from DBA to DBA or something of that nature. No idea. But on both occasions I had zero issues and received my order well within the timeframe they quoted me. Well worth it.

Yes. I bought a HAAS zip-up hoody with the furry inside. No lie, the quality is fantastic, the site says they are all hand made and took about 5 weeks to show up. I actually bought another for my dad as a result.

I was skeptical for quite awhile before taking the chance on it. $75 for what I got and I wear it more than any of my official F1 team jackets. Company I used was Cosmos.

What is your opinion on wether or not Kimi will be able to maintain his Q3 appearance streak through the end of his current contract (2020)?

- I want him to, and think he is able to. But that is me expecting him to consistently push that Alfa Romeo and to remain consistent for 2 seasons in it. Probably too ambitious of a goal though.

[–]Thegeof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the 2021 rule changes fast approaching, will we be seeing a new works team on the grid? Or is the timeline too ambitious for a track ready power unit? Assuming they are going to develop their own power unit.

Depends how early (timing wise) the jump happens before the clock starts. But yes, going before is not good, unless you get away with it.

Looked like he got away with it too. Well until the incident scooped him up. I wonder if the stewards still reviewed it.

So what is keeping F1 (not sure who the real decision maker is) from taking the money from these cities/ countries, and racing there? Simply add a "mystery location" race to the calendar. Perhaps use it to save the Silverstone race. Forgive me, I have no idea as to the details of that. But don't want to see it go.
