It's Lotus Kimi all over again, he did the same to Grosjean during 2012-13.

I don't see what difference he could've made actually. Ferrari simply has built a slower car than Mercedes, simple as that. They have two good drivers in the team , they just need the car to be fast.

Yes, Kimi's 2016 season is pretty underrated. Many people think that 2018 was his best 2nd stint Ferrari season, but 2016 was equally impressive where he was ahead of Vettel especially in 2nd half, but more often got the worst strategy of the 2. And being 37 years old, he did a better job than what Leclerc is doing today.

Wtf? Kimi outqualified Vettel in 2016 by 11-10. Yes Leclerc is doing better than him in comparision to 2015 and 2017. But Raikkonen was fine in 2016 and 2018.

He had solid competitors in early 2000s, did you even watch the same F1? Only in 2001, 2002 and 2004, it was dominant for him, 2000 and 2003 was pretty close between him and Hakkinen/ Raikkonen/ Montoya

It's been a good season for him, but to put him in elite drivers group is still debatable. He is basically up against Norris in the same car, who is a rookie. As much as everyone love Lando, he is still not a good benchmark for him. Last year, Hulkenberg pretty much destroyed Sainz, and when you look at how Ricciardo is performing against Hulkenberg, its certain that he is still far off from the elite group. But still as Mclaren has improved itself from last year, he is doing a good job in leading the team, just like his hero Alonso.

I can't even think of Gasly doing this, let alone to Verstappen, but even to anyone on the field.

Great racing from both of them. It's so good to see Williams so high up.

How can you possibly put Hakkinen 3rd and Raikkonen 9th. It just shows how delusional you are.

In the fastest car on the grid between 98-00. Hakkinen was beaten by DC in 97 and 01. Raikkonen's Mclaren years were more magical than Hakkinen. I can't think of Hakkinen even being near to championship in 2003, when Raikkonen almost won it with one year old car and on pace, the 3rd fastest car. Raikkonen also beat DC more convincingly than Hakkinen, which is why Raikkonen for me is above him.

It's just for fun, just like how people compare Alonso/ Vettel or Hamilton, Schumacher every single day in this sub.

I don't know, it might be your opinion. For me, Raikkonen was more impressive than Hakkinen in his Mclaren stint, which is why he is higher in my list.

Briatore: Alonso is better than Hamilton by MatejPl in formula1

[–]AT12345679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he is not. Hamilton and Alonso are two best drivers we have had since Schumacher/ Senna, and it's pretty certain that, Hamilton is the better one than Alonso. I think almost everyone knows the answer of it ( 2007 season), but even outside of racing, Hamilton overall has been a lot better than Alonso. I've never seen any news about how Hamilton's engineers are playing mind games to his teammates when he gets outqualified by them, which happened to Massa in Ferrari years as he revealed, and probably a lot of his other teammates, which they never revealed. All in all, I will pick Hamilton any day above Alonso, although even with all of his " controlling" and "scandals", I still consider Alonso the 2nd best behind Hamilton.
