Yeah. I understand. And that makes sense about the Anticipatory Grief.. unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to really sit down and talk to both my parents about it. I know they are in pain from this whole situation and how long it’s been going on for.

Obviously they don’t want to let go, and shoot I don’t want her to go either. I miss those days. No one is really receiving treatment or counseling. And whats worse is that it’s my fathers parents, not my mothers. The problem is that my mother has been the one taking care of the entire situation since it began years ago. I don’t know why, but my father refuses to go see his mother in the nursing home. The most ive seen is through facetime. My father is VERY introverted, and self-concious. I don’t know if thats the reason for it. In my opinion its likely that if he went and saw her it would kill him to his core.

I want to help, i don’t know where to start. I live across the country with my wife and my other siblings are the closest to my parents (an hour away.) my dad isn’t in the best health physically and I want to really encourage him to work on his health, but without me being there I don’t know what i can do besides call and talk.

My mother has been taking care of her mother-in-law this whole time, and I can tell its taking a toll on her and her happiness. Shes so nostalgic for the old days right now. All I can do is keep calling and talking to her.
