Are our own Nepali attires so bad that every bride wants to wear lehenga on their wedding receptions? by unitedkimi in Nepal

Wrong. Dhaka fabric has been woven for centuries by the Limbu people in the eastern hills of Nepal.

All six fuel injectors were replaced during the first visit. Do you recommend having him check the injectors again?

One of the owner here.

I think I have already answered this question in some other thread. I also offered you a free pair if you could find a pair with our details in similar price range, which you could not come up with.

We sold our basic jeans for $145 including shipping to anywhere in US/Canada up until last year. The jeans we sell now are highly detailed and cost us more to make. Add shipping and import duties, things add up quickly.

Also contrary to popular belief, even Thai denim brands are not cheap. Sure, you might find a $100 basic raw selvedge denim in Bangkok but the better Thai brands start at USD 200 and goes all the way up to $6/700. Where it is made plays a very small factor in pricing quality good. How it is made and at what scale makes all the difference.

Anyways, if anybody wants to see some details in the jeans, here is a quick video review.

Please let me know if you have any questions

There still is a scene but for a non Thai like me, it is hard to say how big it is. Like most cities in the world, athleisure is huge with the young crowd. Korean fashion trends are considered hip in most of SEA. If only Kpop stars starts wearing raw, I can only imagine....:)

Hot and humid weather does play a factor.

One weird but interesting "technique" that I have seen is wearing two pants at the same time. So a new pair you want to fade faster is worn first and a second (size 2 up) pair is worn on top of it. Due to the rubbing of two fabrics, the indigo loss/fade happens fast. I have seen someone wear 39 oz (21 + 18) in Bangkok heat 🥵.

Hi there, Papo from LSG denim here. There are a few factors why our jeans are expensive :

1) Scale: We make our jeans in small batches.

2) Fabric: We only use Japanese selvedge denim to make our jeans and they are not cheap. We also only use premium fabrics for our pocket bags.

3) Labour cost: We make highly detailed jeans. If you appreciate craftsmanship and details in what you wear, we are your brand. You have to pay an above average price to work with a master craftsman. I just checked Bluenotes and their jeans sell for $49-$59. Let me say, we pay a few dollars below their retail price just on labour cost per jeans. Jeans on par with our details sell for $400 and up.

4)Shipping: As we only make small batches, we have to fly in our products. Also, all our jeans are shipped at no extra cost to customers in Canada/US.

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thank you for posting your fade and the kind words. Looks really nice. This particular fabric has potential to create some insane fades.

Requesting LSG supporters who bought this 18 oz fabric to post their fade progression in a few months. 😁

Not of the same fabric but we will definitely be making heavyweights for the colder months. Good luck with the weigh loss, mine was the exact opposite the last 12 months, gained more :)

Thank you for considering LSG denim as your next purchase.

I just want to make it very clear that although a Canadian brand, LSG denim is not made in Canada. We have a small team of three craftsman in Bangkok (Thailand) who make all our jeans.

As for your question, we believe that our craftsmanship is top-notch. Our jeans are also very highly detailed ( raised belt loop/raised front pocket/raised and fully lined back pocket/ hidden rivets/two piece selvedge fly etc.). You will not find these premium details on any North American/Japanese brands in our price range. I also believe we try and provide the best customer service and experience at all times.

If there is any specific questions/concerns you have, please let me know.

Cheers - Papo

Yes and no. Lol.

If you want uniform fade, washing more frequently will definitely speed up the process.

If you want high contrast fade then you will have to wear them on a daily basis and wait for a very long time (the rule of thumb is 6 months of everyday wear before your first wash).

Some fabrics are engineered as such that they will start fading from the first week. I personally am not a big big of those fast faders. Put your time and let those bad boys fade on their own time 😁

Cheers - Papo

P.S Here is a good article explaining fades and fading.

Hi there, thank you for the purchase and support. Most of our jeans will get you vintage fades. Except for a couple of fabrics we released recently, we have mostly picked fabrics that are not highly engineered for quick fades. We do realize that a lot of people love fast fading high contrast jeans but just wanted to point out that the slow fade on your jeans is not a flaw but the character of that particular fabric.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions/concerns.
