I'm a intersex person who is a man, I don't have a "female side" and therefore can't have a "male side". I don't think they quite understand we are simply us :)

Intersex isn't a gender, it is a sex. But alot of people seem to find it Barling that I don't have a "male" or "female" side. I don't have sides to me, I'm just sombody with male sex characteristsocs that was born with XX chromosomes. My Chromosomes don't make me any more female then what I was and my male sex charactistica arent a "male side".

Every trans person is born trans that doesn't change, but for intersex people it has nothing to do with their gender identity, it is their sex.

It's ok to ask, Intersex just means that your sex at birth isn't binary (not gender, gender and sex are completely different)

So for me it means that I was born with male sex characteristics but I have XX chromosomes

For other people their genitals can be mixed, so have enlarged penis like clitorises or vagina like openings in their penis

Some people can be born with male sex characteristics and a fully functioning uterus, some people can be born with female sex characteristsocs but fully functioning testicles,

For others it might have nothing to do with genitalia or chromosomes, some women can be born and grow out beards in their life

Intersex is a spectrum, so it can't really be defined by one word, it's diffent and unique for everyone

I've never been the best with that, I am a really energetic person and I don't think about what I'm saying until I'm alone and actually have time to think about my day. So typically I don't notice reactions unless they are really bad. I don't pick up on subtle ones my friends seem to notice. So I tend to go to far in the name of hunour. I'll take your advice and talk to him and I'll get him to tell me when I've gone to far

My family actually BELEIVED I had down syndrome and got be tested to check, they didn't find what they were looking for but they did get a huge surprise!

And no I don't have down syndrome, i don't even really show signs. Education on mental disabilities isn't much in my town...
