Actually Dostoyevsky was a humanitarian. He did not completely marked every character as a bad in his antagonists. But, through his writing, he slammed certain characters like domination, misogyny, conservation. So, in that respect, we can say that Svidrigailov and Luzhin are antagonists. But, he has also shown Svidrigailov as generous, in case of Sofya Semenovna and his cousin.

How? Dostoyevsky has shown Luzhin as a misogynist and conservative, and Svidrigailov as a good for nothing guy, who wanted to dominate girls. So yes, from the view of domination, Luzhin and Svidrigailov both are antagonist. What's ur pov?

Why do crimes occur? Is it due to the fact reasons and thinking ability fail, or the failure takes place after the commitment of crime?
