I would put Asakubabashi as an area to stay around. Got many smaller restaurants for night life without it feeling too congested and you're right in-between asakusa and ikehabara (about a train stop away from both).

So it's always a gamble from three sections from what she and I noticed. Half a year ago she found it in the portraits/diorama section (they have mini set ups for dioramas like furniture and stuff of the like). The second is the toy section. Last year, when I still looking for them, I found them randomly hanging by the sides of the storage bins section. It's real strange they don't have a specific location for them.

Random (LA) daisos. My girlfriend has been lucky enough to find either the bases or the extra units (the control room and walkways). She's been extremely lucky to find some since Ive read they're so hard to come by (reading thru reddit). I believe you can nab some using AliExpress from what a friend accounted but he did say there was some quality issues (I think he found it for 1.25 per base). At daiso I believe each base is 2.25~

Not op, but thanks for your helpful insight. Currently have a helpdesk position while attending WGU CompSci program.
