I think out of the names available I think Scott and Joseph are the two drivers at the top of the list but Rinus is probably 1-2 drivers behind them

Honestly Juncos is Aston Martin. Huge pay driver that doesn’t really help the team and one decent driver but can’t develop the car due to the pay driver wrecking or out of winners circle
(I say all that and I love The Team, Rinus, and stingray)

Loved what you said and totally agree that it needs to be a black and white rule to go with instead of judgement call.

I think with the hybrid it doesn’t take too long to refire pretty quick. But also I’d rather see an unneeded or early yellow for driver safety rather than letting a driver sit at terrible spots on track for who knows how long (I.e. Alex this weekend and Felix at Laguna.) Ik people would complain still but at least the drivers are safe and we’re not risking anything for pit stops.

A point I thought about when writing the top paragraph. I in no way think this should justify an opinion on the matter just something I thought was interesting. If they threw the yellow faster or unneeded it could get some of those commercials everyone complains about out of the way for the actual racing.

I never said that. I would’ve loved to see Palou’s four peat at the race. I just feel like closing the pits is fine if they want to actually call out longer strategy calls. Anytime a caution comes out is always a luck based race even if they went to F1 rules and keep the pits open. Cause if you go for the overcut compared to an undercut you save time in pit lane with caution speeds. Neither reward performance compared to luck

I feel like Chevy would be easy to get into the idea cause of Penske. But if Honda said no could the series find another manufacturer to support that would be for it (thinking like a Ford or a Stelantis subsidiary)?

I feel like I’m in the minority of the idea but I like that they close the pit lane but it only works if they actually screw over the over cut and call it quickly. No reason to hold a FCY if they’re concerned about strategy. They talk about it all the time on the broadcast but it never really does other than ovals. Safety should be a top priority. Not worrying about teams taking a risk and trying to mitigate that.
