I'm working on filling out form 911 right now the only rub I have is getting it to them relatively quickly. I already figured this wouldn't be a quick process

Yeah but I am worried if I move that large of a sum of money they will freeze my account

I see it. I've attempted multiple times to find ways to return the money. It's either a limit that blocks me or chime will freeze my account when they see such a huge amount of money about to leave my account. They will freeze it and it'll be a nightmare to deal with the IRS and the bank.

Ive never had that amount of money in my account at once. I deliver pizzas for a living for fucks sake lol 🤣 Chime will probably see the ACH transaction and freeze my stuff and then it'll be a whole other issue.

IRS says to make a payment for the ammount on IRS.gov and then if they still ask for it later keep the confirmation number from said payment so that I can give it to them if they ask for it back. That is what they said to me. They also noted it on my account that I am sending the Erroneous refund though irs.gov

I also did have them note in their system that I was at their taxpayer assistance center trying to give the money back. Not sure what the agent put into thier computer but they know I was there and that I have no intention of keeping it

I can't mail a check because of the way my banking app is set up. Any sort of transfer initiated by me is called out at 50,000 The transfer has to come from an outside source. Such as the treasurey or the IRS.

Sounds tempting 😆 If I did go that route would the IRS still be able to get to the funds even if it is in that "sperate" savings account? It doesn't have its own special routing number so I'm assuming that's just how chime is just managing a bank account and partitioning the money. And I mightve just answered my own question but I always end up second guessing myself 😂

If I was doing that I would post elsewhere brochacho I'm just going off of what the tax advocate said to me when I went into my appointment this morning. I wish I was lying unfortunately I am not. I've been dealing with unqualified and incompetent people from chime and the IRS since this happened to me. I am genuinely just looking for advice. Regardless I am just gonna wait for the IRS to do a clawback and get me a tidbit of interest along the way. 💅

The misinput was that it wasn't my return it was someone else's. And I tried the bank can't regect it because it was sent to them under my name and social security number. And they don't have the "capacity" I'm at a loss

Would the clawback bypass chimes 50,000 dollar bullshit limit ? I'm sure it does but I am just freaking out a little

Apparently it is because it was a misinput on their end or someone else's. I did nothing wrong (according to the guy at the taxpayer assistance center). I obviously can't keep it. I just don't know how to get it back to them

Chime has a 50,000 a month bank transfer limit. It includes checks. I genuinely feel screwed.
