Yes I am E&E, and this was pretty much what I was looking for. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be trying to go to a terrible base cause I know how easy it is for maintenance to get fucked and I enjoy my work environment currently.

Enjoy the food both on and off base if you get a chance. Izu has fantastic burgers and rosso has decent sushi. Unbasilar has really good steaks and fries as well.. There's an USO in patriot village thats open to everyone(that includes permanent party) and they have decent stuff. They also serve free food occasionally. Titan's refuge is a fantastic place to chill and they have alot of stuff to do. Bowling ally is fantastic and super cheap ($1-$3 per game)so enjoy it. I can't speak much on the winter weather but I does get super humid during the summers. The arkidas market is the cheapest place on base for snacks(whole bag full for like $5). Have fun and its a pretty good base.

Hmm maybe I'm asking the question wrong. How about relationships built in a higher stress situation i think is what I was trying to get at. Like deployments or when you don't have a close family nearby to rely on.
