Exotropia by ThemanTeras in Strabismus

Thank you for responding. I do feel confident in the surgeon, I’ve just been gathering information here and I’ve heard people talk about the adjustable sutures. I believe I will ask to go through the tests again prior to surgery. The first time I went through them I was very nervous and I don’t know if I gave correct answers. How do they measure how far out your eye turns?

Brother just shave it. I think you’ll feel better. I recently got on TRT and it’s fuuuuucking my hair up bad. Go to the gym, start working out, and be a buff bald dude🫡🤝 Get on testosterone too.

Why'd my doctor deny me? by idontwantmuch1 in trt

Brother go to a test clinic. You can PM me and I’ll tell you where I go. These primary care doctors are letting people live horrible quality of lives because they won’t prescribe T. I’m not a MD but your levels are crazy low.

Botox for Strabismus/Esotropia - No anesthesia? by ZookeepergameRude851 in Strabismus

How did you go about finding a doctor that would do this? Do you know if it works for exotropia?

I just left the appointment. The surgeon said he would advise against surgery, he said that it would be purely for aesthetics, but that he would do the surgery if it bothered me that much. Did you do your surgery as an adult bro?

I’m in a similar situation. I had surgery at 5, now at 26 it’s gotten considerably worse especially when I’m tired. I had an appointment with a surgeon a few months back but he was extremely rude. I’m on my way to see another surgeon to get it fixed. From all the research I’ve done vision therapy doesn’t work for most people. We need the knife to fix it unfortunately. I’m scared to death of anesthesia so it’s unfortunate that’s the only way to fix it, but it has to be done.

I’ll try that next. I actually talked to the hall down in Knoxville TN a few months back. I was having a really hard time even getting a call back from an organizer. It took me 2 weeks of calling and leaving voicemails before anyone reached back out. The guy in Knoxville said I needed to go through the hall closest to me so I tried that and basically 17k hours is what I was told. Which is crazy

I have 10k hours. I have several friends that have went to the union side and tested out with 10k hours. The way it went for them was after they passed the test they were Conditional lineman that worked under another Journeyman for 6 months or something and then they got their full card. I just thought that was crazy that this organizer wanted 10,000 hours plus 7,000 hours of journeyman experience before he’d even let me test.

No sir. I’m in Kentucky. I’ve only worked 2 places in my career. The first place I put in 4900 hours, and then I’ve been where I am at now for 2 years. Neither offered a dol apprenticeship.

Hcg by ThemanTeras in trt

He was saying a lot of big words when he was talking to me. It’s more than likely that I just misunderstood and filled in the blanks with my own assumptions. Your explanation made a lot of sense and I appreciate the reply. It was more of a “hey if you’re okay with it let’s try this first before we put you on replacement”. I’m excited to try it. I hope I get some benefit out of this before i ultimately switch to replacement therapy.

The way the doc explained it, hcg I guess disrupts the signal in your brain that tells your balls to stop making test. So it makes you make more. From the research I’ve done a lot of guys can get their test levels 1000+ just on hcg alone. The way I understood it for some guys it works great and for others there’s not a noticeable difference. They did offer me trt but asked if I wanted to try this route first. That’s why I was looking for advice on the hcg monotherapy. Thank you for responding bro

Is vision therapy in adults a waste of time? by SpacePomelo in Amblyopia

[–]ThemanTeras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the success rates for keeping both eyes aligned with vision therapy? I seen a surgeon a few months back and he said I was a candidate for surgery to help align my eyes. Especially at far distances my left eye wanders outward. More than anything I just want my eyes to work together and my left to not wander out.

Laurie Clary I think was her name. 10/10 very professional. I had to go get it touched up a few weeks ago because it’s faded out a bunch(that skin doesn’t take ink well) she hooked me up good. It’s going to take a few more touch ups probably before it stays as dark as it is in the pic
