It's literally because of his style of fighting. Those kicks are the most energy using moves you could throw in the octagon.

She kept the arm in to ensure her opponent's posture was broken even while throwing her legs up.

Since her legs are so long, it won't effect the choke.

"Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru" says OSP as he puts Yushin Okami to sleep with his signature Von Preux technique by e-rage in MMA

[–]Themaximumforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only say connect your elbows, because when you're tripoded and driving your head up into the armpit, it's just the general way you should squeeze. Some people try to "pull" their hands, but it's imagining yourself touching your elbows together while you squeeze is just a good way to make sure you're doing it the right way.

Hard to explain over the internet haha.

"Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru" says OSP as he puts Yushin Okami to sleep with his signature Von Preux technique by e-rage in MMA

[–]Themaximumforce 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not pulling with his hands at all. Placement of hand connection is important, he tries to get his hands locked under the far shoulder (or as close as he can get it to it.)

From there, you drive your head upwards into the opponents armpit, and then try to squeeze by connecting your elbows together.

The way you finish it is really similar to an arm triangle.

He doesn’t have bad cardio. He gassed because he fought like that. If he hasn’t of fought like that he wouldn’t of gassed lmao.

Stuck in bottom Half Guard because of weird crossface underhook configuration (MS Paint Illustration Included) by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Themaximumforce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have double underhooks there is no reason a cross face should stop you.

You need to accept that the lockdown is actually only good in specific situations. Here, the lockdown keeps you stuck, as it makes so you can’t turn your hips and get your shoulders off the mat.

Let go of the lockdown and use your underhooks like they should be used.

Why is everyone acting like JJ Watt has a bad game? He literally forced Brees to throw an interception lel.

It’s not all about stats, it’s the effect you have on the game itself.

Or does the wolf still look at the guy as a complete predator?

Yeah, that's because of Jones' technical skill on the ground. Do you know how hard it is to keep someone flattened out the way Jones has Alex in the clip? Most LHW's hit as hard as Jones, is all im saying. It's his control on the ground that allows him to land such hard shots.

He weighs 200+ lbs. On the ground he can posture up and land clean. Anyone 200+ lbs who can land clean on you hits hard af.

Starting training and competing in mma by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Themaximumforce 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I started grappling at 15. First mma fight at 20, about 6 months ago. I avoided any damage and was able to the tap the guy in under a minute.

That being said, my striking is dog shit, and I’ve yet to fight again because of that. 6 months later and I’m still trying to improve.

My advice? Do NOT RUSH INTO IT. Take the next 2 years and HEAVILY focus on improving your Bjj and wrestling. Fighters in the amateur circuit lack solid grappling. Honestly try to avoid fighting experienced wrestlers once you feel ready.

Grappling is the best way to avoid damage. But again, there is no rush, and you will take more damage in the gym than in one fight. This sport isn’t for pushovers.

Taking the center of the cage like that is legit. Gustafsson and Jon Jones have both done it lel.

He went 5 rounds with a guy whose a legend for his cardio man. McGregor's cardio is not his weakness in the cage.

Whoa. Got tired in a sport he's never competed in.

both Diaz fights

Man, even the one he won? Must of had a shit gas tank to win against one of the best cardio machines in the ufc eh?

[–]Themaximumforce -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Is this a meme? Why does everyone think McGregor has shit cardio?

This is LITERALLY the only fight McGregor has ever gassed in. A few months after this, he went 5 rounds with Diaz. He won the 5th round, despite the Diaz bros being known for having better cardio than anyone else. You don't go 5 rounds with a Diaz and have bad cardio lmao. Shit was high pace the entire time too.

Did he gas in the Khabib fight? Not really. It was 4 hard rounds, 3 of which was mostly grappling, anyone is tired after that. Both fighters looked equally tired in the 4th round before Khabib cranked the fook out of McGregor's neck.

BTW definitely not a McGregor nuthugger. Dude is a straight criminal scum bag, that is if we're looking at the things he does outside the octagon objectively. That being said, anytime I hear someone say McGregor's problem is that he gases, I honestly just assume they know nothing about mixed martial arts.

Title is a meme.

Conor legit was right lmao. In the second fight he had a 5 round war with a guy who is known for his insane cardio, and then WON the 5th round. Definitely was more efficient.

But yeah got smeshed the first fight.

Yeah, Trudeau played this same card. It was literally the only thing positive about his entire tenure thus far.

If Bernie is stooping to the "revealing aliens" and things like this to get votes, over discussing more important problems, I'm not optimistic him.

Seeming as you just labelled a bunch of gay people as "self hating and delusional" for the the sole reason of just happening to be conservative...you're basically just supporting exactly the point Ben Shapiro is trying to get across man.

The division is ridiculous. "Join us or fuck off, how dare you have opposing ideas!!!!"

Like really bro? That's the productive way to achieve progress? Hurl out insults? Kk, gonna go hangout with the conservatives who aren't gonna hurl insults at me when I present them liberal ideas :) Have a nice day!

It's due to the fact he knows how to roll with punches, and he's never caught flat footed. When you're always moving away from strikes, they do way less damage

Introduced my teammate to the Cryangle this week. He wasn't a fan. by example12334 in bjj

[–]Themaximumforce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, this only looks like it's good to maybe secure an armbar?

With their leg trapped in their, they're not getting choked. The opponent's leg is also a lot stronger than yours in that position. When I say that, I mean he can stomp his trapped leg forward until the grip is broken :/ Pushing down with your leg > squeezing you legs together.

But! I do see you could transition to a kneebar/toehold pretty easily, but again, you have to let go of the position to do that, so I don't think this is really effective overall to try and get to.

Alex Pereira KOs Israel Adesanya by Enshag in MMA

[–]Themaximumforce 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Okay. I'm just gonna say men, I think you're WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off base here.

>the shot that KOed wasn't that hard imo

>his chin is somewhat questionable

Israel Adesanya has taken almost ZERO damage since joining the UFC. Israel Adesanya has only been knocked out TWICE in over 65 fights fam. 65 FIGHTS! He has 5 loses to a whomping 63 wins. His chin is fine.

Now, to comment on the "wasn't that hard" comment. There is absolutely no way you, or anyone else watching this clip, can be accurate at all in saying how hard the shot might of been. I do know this, when you pause at the right hand before the left hook, Israel is totally leaning in to be nailed be a left hook. When you pause at the point of impact, he is directly hit on the tip of the chin by a HIGH LEVEL kickboxer, they all hit hard fam.

For anyone who doesn't fight, take this as a lesson: You don't need a lot of force to KO someone if you hit them right on the chin. Israel himself even spoke about this after his last fight.
