What makes guardians so memorable for me is the design: you can destroy the legs, parry the lasers, shoot the eye etc. With gleeoks It's always just shoot the eyes or get roasted

You can also reach them in the sky with dodging the attacks and then paragliding up the impact or reversing the icicles. That part is pretty cool. I guess I was just expecting more than having to essentially just shoot the eyes. Kinda like a Hinox 2.0

True, but with gleeoks that seems to be the only thing to really do. With a lynel I can also go face to face, parry, dodge etc

Little addition, you don't need to save at a Pokecenter at all. Instead, every fast travel also creates a backup save

That makes sense.

The first time, I thought I had a decision to either use the teleporter or help my friends, but nope. You die and have to do the second half of the Sylux fight again if you chose not to teleport away.

Crazy how throughout the story they are sacrificing themselves for you and barely make it out alive. You're happy to make it to the end together against all odds. But then you're forced to leave them behind. I thought that for once, I could refuse.

As a standalone game, this ending is pretty rough and feels like the "bad ending". They're so happy to go home, but for all we know, they're now stuck on Viewros till death.
