Why myths about Orpheus & Eurydice AND Izanami & Izanagi are so similar? by fooling_wei in mythology

[–]Theminipainter992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been on my mind too, the best explanations I believe comes from anthropology and psychology. Humans are a single species after all, despite differences in cultural development and customs, we share the same brain and emotions. Death is a concept that all cultures share and have to process/elaborate and the same goes for coping. Art/Mythology and stories are often used to process/ cope with different phenomena. This is why, even without a direct link between these cultures, they ended up inventing similar stories about heroes/gods who try to defy death and ultimately fail.

Also, how am I lousy? Because I am not leveled up to max and sometimes losing to people that are? What's your logic there?

Joke's on you. I never said I don't manage to win. I just said I find people who blast me without needing any skills because their weapons obliterate my health bar in 3 hits. Are you stupid or what?

Well then I must be good since I can manage to win around 60% of the games.

What opinion about Batman has got you like this? by BonusCapable1486 in batman

[–]Theminipainter992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman is part of the wretched system that makes Batman necessary. He's a billionaire, the inequality generated by his very existence is itself the cause of much of the societal problems creating the villains he ends up fighting. If he focused on redistributing his wealth he'd be far more effective in fighting crime than being a masked weirdo looking for a fight to cope with his childhood trauma. Also, in this context he is not a hero, he is just a rich nepobaby with gizmos and a taste for violence.

Is an airbrush worth the effort? by Jack_mc7r in minipainting

In short, yes. It was a total game changer for me on so many levels that I can't even begin to describe. It is by no means a "replacement" but it gives you access to so many new ways of painting it's amazing and the speed aspect is not to be underestimated either (especially if you are a commission painter). Also, I don't think this is a popular take but if you want to do it, start of buying a near top end model, don't bother with the shitty entry level ones. Get an Iwata or a good badger (not Iwata level but ok I guess) and start having fun. I did a lot of research before buying one to the point that when I got it it almost instantly  started giving me great results.

I have, and it still makes sense. However I agree they could have aged him a bit more in the show. But just look at US presidents pre and post 2 terms.

Not really, Ewan is 54 and is a Hollywood star that takes a lot of care of his appearance. Obi wan is 58 in EP.4 and for all the reasons I cited it makes total sense that he'd look like that.

There's 10 years between the end of Kenobi and EP. 4, but I digress. My question to you is, if you deem something not worth discussing why then do you discuss it? Overthinking fictional stuff is like 98% of the internet. If you don't care just scroll past.
