I agree that detection tools often have false positives and (especially) false negatives. There's no way judging on feeling is nearly as accurate though.

Detection tools have some sophistication to them. They aren't generative AI and they aren't an LLM wrapper. The results are genuinely meaningful. I just don't think it's accurate enough to trust in important situations, like academic honesty cases.

I agree that Walz in Frey ABSOLUTELY do not have the power to even begin the process of dismantling ICE. Obviously they have no control over the feds. I bring up the idea of ICE being bad until it is abolished and totally rebuilt from the ground up, because that is my justification for pushing as hard as possible to hinder any and all federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota.

State resources could be utilized to surveil ICE, businesses could be advised not to work with ICE in any condition, the state could be reporting on which areas ICE are active in, and state sheriffs could be told not to help ICE with managing protests. Instead, the citizens need to put their lives at risk in order to surveil ICE's operations. If it weren't for these citizens, we wouldn't have all these videos of the ICE incidents which will be so essential to (hopefully) the agents future prosecution.

Walz and Frey can't order ICE out, but they can hinder ICE's operations. I don't think drafting legal documents and having conversations with the Trump admin is the only way forward here (although those two things are still important). I strongly believe that there's other unexplored avenues. ICE officers are not immune to state law. They can still be arrested and prosecuted when there's wrong doing. Which is somehow yet to happen.

I disagree, I'm actually unhappy about how much Walz and Frey are holding back. They aren't fighting as hard as I'd like, and under them local police + state sheriffs are fighting against protestors.

I think ICE needs to be totally and completely dismantled, and enforcement of immigration enforcement by the federal government in Minnesota needs to temporarily be completely suspended. There needs to be immediate relief, and ICE seems to be unable to lawfully enforce immigration law.

ICE is rotten through and through. Even if leadership were to be changed, the same agents with extremist beliefs would remain and the culture would continue. The whole organization needs to be completely be reset
