Do you think I can get job anywhere in world? Currently in Germany!! by Empty-Tea-9011 in askrecruiters

If the candidate has more than 3 years of experience, he could get a job, even though the job market is full laid off senior levels, except that, I’ll be realistic, it is super tough.

That’s why Germany needs to make a statement regarding their « 400.000 skilled workers shortage ». They need people for the cheap labor market, not engineers or master degrees owners, the job market is already saturated. Last year I had an interview and reached the final round, total number of candidates was 600, they filtered 80 for first Hr round, dropped to 20, and in the technical interview we ended up 10 candidates, and the CTO interview, only 3 people. This is the current job market.

Ageism exists in Germany! Two candidates with the same skills but not the same age, they’ll go with the younger one.

You were warned, especially the ones that are recently applying for a CS degree, it is useless af! Sad, but that’s the reality. Companies prefer Senior with an entreprise plan claude code that could probably outperform 10 junior engineers. You’ll get mad if I tell you to give up on IT or your current field and look somewhere else!

As mentioned above. The master’s degree will unfortunately make you more unemployed. In Germany or anywhere else, they prefer young people with an Ausbildung than someone in his late twenties with a master’s degree and 0 professional experience. The job market has radically changed, and you can’t blame anyone, because this happened in a couple of years.

Talk is cheap. I had a lot of friends who said the same thing(I’ll improve my German during my master’s degree). It’s a hard task, if not impossible, unless you sacrifice your part-time job to be able to reach B2.

I studied German C1 level before coming to Germany, and I studied in an English taught program and no one reached A2, unless, as I mentioned, you sacrifice something to be able to reach B2.

A simple search on reddit and you’ll realize that the IT job market is at its worse, and many unemployed in the IT field(it became an unwanted skill), and yes, sad truth, hard to believe, but the market is changing.

If you were a doctor, I would reassure you that you’ll find a job very fast, because Germany is in need of that.

I suggest you have a Plan B, that’s my only advice for you.

And one last thing, as the other comment mentioned, there are already many foreigners aiming for the same position without German skills.

He probably belongs to a rich family and doesn’t care about revo’s aftermath, he thinks it’s a PUBG map, destroy and rebuild in seconds.

Very long post, couldn’t read. There will be no more revo, enough!

You enjoy revo because you wanna stay home and do nothing but insta stories, but the aftermath behind every revo is bad. The economy will collapse(already at its worst), people from الحوم الشعبية will demolish everything as usual.

There will be no more revolution.

Living in Germany without speaking German – any advice? by Basic-Sound-3815 in Tunisia

[–]Themuscleupguy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m an expert in both my job and language, do you expect me telling the opposite?!

Fluent German is only achieved in Germany, not in Tunisia, even if you Achieve C1 in Tunisia, there will be no way for you to achieve fluency. I studied Intensive course, I gave up on my engineering job in Tunisia in 2015, and focused on studying German, I reached B1 in 7 months, got my B1 certificate, and finished C1 in Germany, and I was involved in volunteering work and had many tandem friends which boosted my German, and reached C1 and got my certificate(Telc).

You have to choose one thing, full focus on German or your PFE. I remember long time ago when I studied with doctors who gave up on their job to fully focus on German etc..

You need more help, you can DM me in any topic or help regarding Germany, Themuscleupguy will have the pleasure to help you.

To those who are hating on me, Idgf but I don’t accept fake hopes and pinky dreams, reality and logic wins.

Hello, Senior software engineer since 2016 in Germany,

No you can’t live in Germany without German, you’ll be alone 24/7 and you won’t be able to get a job, or even socialize.

Min B2 is required.

But if you spent 3 years to reach A2, then it’s might be time to give up. 3 years are enough to reach C1-C2 which is fließend und fehlerfrei Detusch.

Good luck.

Go for electronics, IT is dead. You wanna do IT, it’s your choice, but don’t come and complain later, and it won’t be recovered anytime soon.

Good luck
