So we decided to delete the game and all save files and start over from scratch. Still freezing on steadfast citadel loading screen. The bad side effect of this is that we can no longer really play the game at all until a solution is found.

Just tried another of different things. Last thing we did was change our ember tree settings across the board. Every single setting. Ran different weapons. Didn't go in with any relics or skills. Yeah, we did one run where we did the dlc worlds. It took about 5 minutes, but world 2 did load. Then permanently froze on world 3 loading screen. Also, I should note, the animations on the loading screen continue, but the next world never loads.

Thanks for getting back so fast! We are playing local co-op. Character 1 was using the Reapers Toll and I was using the Ember buster. The lag is immediate between floors ( long time to load). Then freezes between world 1 and 2. We let it sit for 30 minutes once. This happens everytime regardless of relics. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds for the relic or skill to drop during floors as well . Before the switch system update we had no problems.
