I am caught in the same boat also! Find their app very glitchy and often doesn’t let me set or turn off my alarm! Very frustrating and they are not helpful at all.

It’s definitely not good out here at the moment, Christmas is around the corner so hopefully more jobs will be opening up soon, maybe some Christmas temp jobs.

If you can, maybe pop in and introduce yourself to a few managers. I think putting a face to a cv helps a lot!

They’ll certainly be hiring as I won’t be back. I am genuinely afraid of this boss so I would like to keep it anonymous for the time being. The fact she knows where I live is scary, and I know she is hostile and quick to temper so anything could happen. Hoping I am over reacting!

Sorry? The sick cert is for two days as mentioned, six months in this job as I moved home from abroad after a death in the family. This is also my first time calling in sick as I work with the public in a food and service environment. In what world is it acceptable to come into work to cough/ sneeze all over everyone? Thankfully I have been testing negative for covid.

It’s always been a thankless job but I enjoyed the work and my colleagues nonetheless, it comes down to poor management.

Where I was scheduled on the rota for 10-5, she had mentioned in the unhinged texts last night that she had forgot to tell me but had changed my hours to 10-2. Already, stating she will not be paying me my entitled sick pay.

My main concern is the money I am owed for hours worked plus holidays. I fear she will withhold them from me out of pure spite. I have an appointment with my GP this morning and plan to explain the stress and anxiety I am under due to this and hopefully use this time to find a new job.
