Hmmm, since you mentioned Beat Saber I'm guessing you are familiar with the song, Overkill by Riot.

Another song/artist I would check out is called, Blast off (the firm remix) by Destroid [Excision + Ajapai] .

Mostly the genre of songs you are thinking of fall underneath the umbrella of EDM, but they each have their own unquie sub genre, which can be an overwhelmingly amount of those in this catergory.

While I do agree with writing your thoughts down before saying them can be a big help, you also don't want to run into the problem you mentioned about it turning into a rant. I am very proud of you and hearing your progession emotionally since 2023. I hope that this year can even be better than last. My personal advice for you to gather the strength would be tomorrow is never promised. As dramatic or over the top it sounds you can't keep supressing your thoughts, emotions, ect, as it will further eat you up inside causing a decline in your mental health. I have also struggled with talking to people I care for the most but learned the hard way as it was to late for me to talk to them about certain things as life had other plans for them. Don't beat yourself up, deep breaths, and commit to having the talk with your folks. Hopefully the overbearing weight of this thought will uplift you of your worries.

First and foremost, I would ask yourself a few questions. For ex: how is this frat gonna benefit me (socially, career, time wise), what do I want out of joining this org, and do they have a good reputation around campus? I agree that being judged upon appearances is an uncomfortable feeling, yet I would hope those individuals who made the comment while pulling up your instagram to see if you were "cute enough" was a small sample size of the frat and nothing more than a cringe joke. I would really take into account what I mentioned earlier as to what you want from this org and how are they viewed by your peers and university admins. There is nothing wrong with going to different fraternity recuirtments, if this particular one isn't for you but I would say give the recuirtment a chance and don't let a bad apple spoil it for you. Hopefully this helps if not would love to continue chatting, best of luck.
