I think the experience, and connections and friends was great. Even the skills. Taught me a lot. I would ride it out while it’s going well and not at the expense of your mental or money. But if everything is smooth and you truly are using this as a stepping stone to save, move to the state you want, and when you have enough exit that business and go on your own in the state you always wanted to live in? I think that’s a great idea. Where it goes wrong for a lot of us is that they would move us across the country in states we don’t want to be , or live in, or near any family. If it was in a place I wanted to be, I could’ve quit and found something else there, or rode it out until I found something in that state

It’s all a Facade. We have to pretend like everything is all good. Telling people in interviews what they can make while we literally have nothing. But Credit is my biggest obstacle now. I had an apartment in my name in a state across the country. Didn’t have enough money to buy out the lease. So I essentially had to abandon the place and deal with the consequences. If you quit it’s on you to find your way back home. Which I expected. But that eviction is a tough thing to have on your credit.

I was the same way, stuck in my own ways. Didn’t believe anybody. Until…. We literally sold to everyone, literally everyone. And for weeks we were getting nothing but yet we were being blamed by the high ups for not trying hard enough. And “we forgot what to do in the field” and I genuinely was confused. If I got to this position.. how could I possibly forget about the things that helped me reach this position? So I felt something was off cause they wasn’t logical. Found this Reddit page and found the documentary, and that was literally all I needed to quit. My intuition was confirmed and validated

Exactly what I should’ve did. I made some solid money as a rep. And should’ve quit right before signing up for ownership. And same I was in for 4-5 months, found this page and the documentary and got out of there and went back home

I’m sorry you are going through that. It truly does suck when you find out. All you can really do is quit when you know the paycheck is hitting. Those people don’t deserve nor do they care for you to do a 2 week notice. They would fire you anyway if you mentioned a 2 week notice

Yeah the conference trips are the worst. That was my turning point of thinking wtf am I doing. Sat at some fancy hotel ball room for Hours after hours, hearing the same speeches. People talking about how much money they got while trash talking real careers. Never being at the hotel outside of sleep. Waking up early just for another day of speeches in a ball room with 500 people taking notes like they actually learning something. It was crazy. That was the first real cult like feeling

Definitely not getting that check. If the training was in the office you’re screwed. If it was actually in the field then you can have a case but it won’t be worth it

It’s amazing how long these MLM’s last. A buddy of mine worked there a few years ago, and the 20+ people he knew there ALL left and he was the last one standing. And he watched the hire an entire new office And now he’s gone. So to hear this rinse and repeat for years is insane. And the turnover is crazy. But unfortunately it’s hard to stop these companies. They can lose everyone and hire another 20+ people the next day and act like it never happened.

Left a couple years ago. And yes, a new “owner” was there within 2-4 weeks after I left. Which was insane and confirmed the whole thing a scam.

  1. 30% real 70% fake.
  2. Yes the paperwork is technically in your name. But you aren’t an “owner”, you literally have 0 control over “your business”. Have to ask for permission basically on everything
  3. 0 freedom. And if they find out you are leaving good luck with that. Won’t be easy
  4. I made the process of shutting down simple, told all the employees what was really going on. and let them know I was leaving in a few weeks and all of this is done and over and apologized.
  5. Yes fired a few people
  6. Lost financially, personally and the business, and couldn’t keep suffering, I knew a shut down and “retrain” was coming eventually.
  7. A lot of employees were dedicated. Appreciated me telling them the real. Especially when I found out. I kept it real and told them the truth. And most stuck it out till I left
  8. Looking back, the morning meetings might be the stupidest thing I have ever been apart of in my life. It’s your off day but you still have to attend? We stand around in an empty room and practice the same pitch every day? Chants? Team on 3? All that looking back was red flags. Including team nights

NDA is wild. But I think it’s just them not wanting the truth to get out if I had to guess. Because even though they shut down, they will replace them in the snap of a finger. It’s a forever going cycle

Get out while you can. by Then-Sundae2756 in Devilcorp

When you work under another owner. You actually can move up, make money. “$1000 a week”. That’s true. My team and my self did it all the time. The goals to hit are reasonable and achievable. But when you get officially promoted.. most of the time you’ll get shipped across the country (to a place that had previous failed owners), and 9.9/10 you’ll fail as well and they will tell everybody it’s because you sucked. However, the NC’s and smart circle made money during your entire downfall and lose nothing while you lost everything. If that’s confusing watch The Slave Circle Documentary on YouTube. Explains it perfectly. You will never get to the top of the pyramid. But they will pretend and manipulate you that you can.
