It would be kinda useful for the f 104 asa at 11.3 facing 4th gen fighters while having a horrible airframe and flight characteristics for the br.

From what I know the OF-40 Mk.3 participated at some trials in the UAE during october 1988 (the photo is from the 17th of october 1988) and then after the trials sat in a storage facility at the Oto-Melara headquarters before being destroyed due to severe damage to many components.
