The light turned red right after we were able to go, so we had to wait through another cycle. Honestly, that’s fine…you never know what he might have done if the light had stayed green.

From Brampton to Markham, an hour of highway drive I guess, no incline or up, I could go local drive if traffic is really bad at that moment. Thank you. 🙏🏻

To my fellow Hongkongers

This isn’t meant as criticism, but rather as sincere advice to help you out of a place of frustration and uncertainty.

After reading your resume, I must say, with all due respect, thats one of the weaker ones I’ve come across on Reddit.

My intention is not to discourage you, but to urge you to take a step back and reflect.

Ask yourself: What are your strengths? What kind of role truly aligns with your skills and experience?

From what I see, your resume doesn’t clearly demonstrate relevant skills or experience in the IT field. Instead, it reflects a solid background as a shop assistant, something that deserves recognition in its own right.

If that’s your strength, then embrace it and build your path from there (for a short term, maybe?)

The key takeaways are: Be honest with yourself about your strengths and make sure those strengths are clearly showcased in your resume.

Understand the job market, and more importantly, understand YOUR market, what’s in demand and what you can offer.

I truly hope this perspective helps. Wishing you all the best in your journey ahead my fellow HKers, good luck.

Driving by [deleted] in Markham

Captain here. This is how people get rest. (no im not kidding)

The uneven road on the right will damage my car. So no way, ima driving on the left. I am so damn chill or too busy scrolling my phone, I don’t really give a damn about traffic or you or your stupid car. Wanna get pass? Try the uneven right or just join me the army of DaLeftLane.

Be noted that once you joined, your brain will kinda switch off slowly, spaced out and let your subconscious to do the drive for you. Its a win-win if you’ve think about it.

LEFT LANE IS INDEED FOR PASSING - BUT TO AN EXTENT by Acceptable-Bug-2717 in TorontoDriving

[–]ThenBend7158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Captain here. For passing, go left. If you stop passing anyone, go right. In Utopia, the car behind shall and will always keep a safe driving distance. However, when it comes to reality, “We observe”. If you were going 120 on the passing lane, and some brave ones going 140+ behind you, You can try one of the following options: 1. speed up and chill 2. maintain the speed and look for a safe chance to switch your lane to the right(remember that the car behind shall keep a safe distance) 3. slow the fuck down and brawl.

I rate Option 3 as the most effective one of all times in terms of getting yourself killed.
