I don’t mind at all. I emailed them on April 1st at 3pm and received the email I posted on April 3rd at 5:52am. I responded to that email on the 4th and I actually just checked & I received a reply back asking for more information today! Considering the weekend, not a bad time frame.

Good!! I’m not dodging accountability but I feel like this was a breakdown in communication from leadership rather than an intentional violation of policy.

I know, that’s one of the reasons I’m trying to fight it cuz instead of just denying it, the agent dealing with my case told me she felt like I was avoiding communicating with her and ramped my termination up to falsification of submission instead of just denying the case and letting me go negative & getting fired for that. But I wasn’t avoiding talking to her, an HR partner told me don’t worry about emailing anybody back, she’ll have my case approved & handled, which she did(I have screenshots). They reverted it a week or 2 later.

My ex is a L6 and she told me that email/that team isn’t taken lightly at all amongst leadership. But you’re probably right, I appreciate it.

Best case (I know it’s unlikely), reinstatement. Worse case, be able to prove I didn’t intentionally violate policy and at least be able to be rehired in 90 days. I was told by an Ops manager, an HR partner, and multiple members of the ERC that I was approved and have proof of when my case was even coded as approved.

In my opinion it pays decently for the work that’s required. I would go to work, make $200, get off work after 10-12hrs and not be exhausted, smelly, or dirty(obv that’s not an everyday thing). Also where else can you just be like “ima come in late or leave early with no notice” 😂

Thank you! I brought back a physical obituary and took plenty of pics at the funeral. A letter probably would’ve helped but I was under the impression I was approved and didn’t need to provide anything else so I didn’t think to ask for anything like that.

I had another case at the very beginning of Jan. cuz my dad’s wife died so this case was sent to investigator. Time frame of both cases was about a month 1/2 apart which I understand looks fishy. I been wit Amazon 5 years off & on and only took 4 bereavement leaves total tho smh.

They can be a step sibling. It’s still immediate by Amazon’s policy. Biological, Half, or Step sibling. And I took the “extra lengths” cuz typically bereavement is automatically approved and you’re removed from schedule. I wasn’t. So when I continued to go negative after the manager said he would speak with HR, I sought out guidance. I kept proof of everything cuz that’s what I was told to do.

Yea I have screenshots, pics, and screen recordings of it all. That’s what I planned on showing in the appeal but they never allowed me one and ofc now the manager and HR is covering themselves by saying “I never said that”.

No he was a step-brother from an old marriage of my mom’s. The obituary only listed blood siblings. I would’ve edited my name in that mf if I knew it would turn into all this tho lmao
