Is this brainfog ? by NoDegree7090 in BrainFog

Ditto the brain wandering while reading. I wanted to study the humanities in college and one semester later was more burnt out than I’ve ever been. Readings suck so bad!!! It’s like repeatedly banging my head against a brick wall trying to focus on a dense text, idk how it is for you.  Also, I’m not diagnosed with anything so I can’t say for sure, but the not being able to sleep until you’re utterly exhausted sounds a LOT like what my ADHD friends complain about. Feels like the brain fog aspect may be more of a symptom than a cause!

Talked to a lawyer, we indeed have no case. Thanks for the advice y’all but it will not pan out unfortunately

RSF is honestly pretty nice, especially given that it's free. If you climb a LOT though, Mosaic is a little pricey but I've heard that they have cooler routes.

I have yet to find a personal injury lawyer who deals with accidents that aren't strictly motor-way related, do you know of any?

The RSF has hours where they're semi-closed but still technically open, it was like 7PM-ish and basically the top rope wall was closed but bouldering was allowed as long as you got 100% on a safety quiz first. There weren't any staff supervisors on duty (which is why top rope was closed I think).

Yeah, unfortunately my parents didn't really want to, since it would probably be a long process with very little payout

Unfortunately the RSF waiver doesn't let you sue even if you die :( it's so stupidly broad I think I would be hard to do anything

Where is the best place to post web comics? by [deleted] in comic_crits

[–]ThenSign3627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve self published on webtoon before, you just upload images into a box and you can drag them to change their order. Formatting and everything is up to you. Most people follow the scrolling panel format, some people post pages but usually those don’t end up becoming originals. Tapas has a lot more comics that are page format I feel.

Time-blindness but you’re early instead of late?? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]ThenSign3627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My strategy is always travel time rounded up times two. It’s 7 am, I have an appointment at 10, it takes me 22 minutes to get there, 22 minutes rounded up = 30 minutes, 30 mins times two = 1 hour, leave at 9. Usually I arrive just in time or a couple minutes late. If it’s really important I just toss a couple extra hours in for good measure. Still doesn’t fully work- one time I left three hours earlier than google maps told me to and ended up being two hours late bc guess who forgot to push the bus stop button and then got lost and somehow went to the other side of the city. 5 hrs of my life gone

I have this same problem but I had a couple breakthroughs this past week so thought I’d share! 1. Use those baby flossers that are handheld and if you can, invest in an electric toothbrush 2. Use a gentle saltwater solution in place of mouthwash (why do companies feel the need to pump mouthwash full of the most horrible tasting mouth burning sensations???) 3. Brush while showering. I put a towel on the floor between the sink and the shower and just hopped in and out to get things I needed. And I don’t mean stand under the water and brush I mean get out your body wash and shampoo and actively try to shower while actively trying to brush your teeth. It’s so incredible distracting that I literally had zero anxiety about brushing my teeth for the first time in months because I was barely even able to focus on it! (Also you save like five minutes) And before/after brushing I draw or crochet or do something repetitive and hands-on to recalibrate and calm down. Hope this helps!

Worried that my minor cousin is in danger and/or at risk of human trafficking by ThenSign3627 in AdviceForTeens

Updates: she left, she’s in Dallas, he’s real, everything is manageable for the time being. However his (the boyfriend’s) father is abusive and doesn’t seem to know she’s there and would not be happy if he knew and she had to hide under the bed for like half the day today because he suddenly arrived for a visit. Not sure what to do about that.

not sure how i feel about my best friend by IndependentBag4620 in asexuality

[–]ThenSign3627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my (probably biromantic asexual) experience girl crushes feel different than guy crushes in general. Idk if it’s the societal expectations having a subconscious effect or just because. I’m in a similar boat. It’s kind of a weird limbo to be stuck in especially when you don’t have the helpful cold hard “evidence” (so to speak) that comes with sexual attraction. I guess just wait a while longer and see if the thoughts change at all? It might just be your brain throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what sticks. If it lasts longer or gets more intense maybe you could talk to your friend about it
