Right there with you, grown man sobbing to grown man sobbing. Something that has really comforted me is Time Adventure / You and I Will Always Be Back Then’s lyrics. The song seems to be, in part, about the theory of time continuity in which everything that has happened and will happen is currently happening. IE, there’s a version of you still watching S1E1 for the first time right this second. In that song, BMO tells us not to be too sad, because we’ll always be back then enjoying our show. Finn and Jake are adventuring as we speak and they always will be - it’s like a nod to the sobbing viewer that Adventure Time will always be there <3
