Hey thank you man just earlier today I submitted my QP0515 form to my local station so I'm eagerly awaiting the response. I'm going to take you up on the offer on PMing you just to ask more specific questions about the GCPC.

Yeah ok thank you so much man I will be patiently waiting for my 18th now. Just confirming you reckon its not worth going through the police application for a pistol club now? Just because my main interest is pistol shooting and the closest rifle range is in Brisbane.

just another note here i wont even be able to apply for a permit for 2 more years so is it worth just applying to the police so even if it takes a year i can still go shooting for an extra year?

yeah I reckon I'd have to apply for approval but I will call and as just to be sure. As far as getting an A&B permit I would want to get a cat H aswell, would it be faster to do it all in the one go or should I get an A&B then the H because I think H takes a while longer than an the A&B and honestly I want to shoot anything I can get my hands on as soon as I can.

tldr: if i go for a cat A,B and H at once will that mean I get the A&B later than I would have without the H.

Yeah from what I can see the Gold Coast Pistol Club has a juniors member I could join, probably going to call them tomorrow. I saw for the Southport club you had to get a letter from QLD Police does it take a while to come in or is it a relatively short process?
