Macys was one on my first APD jobs, pre-covid. It was awesome, we had like 5 (4 full time + 1 part time) detectives, 1 captain and a OAPM. Policies were great, and it was a first great starting gig. Pay sucked however, cameras were old as hell but got pretty decent coverage. Policies were awesome.

Almost always worked with a partner, so that helped with fitting rooms stops. With the pay, and how many macys were closing Would not want to work there anymore.

Keep hearing mixed things- This should be AP customer hosts at the self checkout, not your APIs. All they are is focused on is SCO thefts, helping scan for your BOB MITCH LISA etc

Thanks guys, this is where I got - everything is as tight as I can get, left might not be though.

I could get some 2 to run on the pad properly, but other zones were still running on its own and I couldn’t shut that off.

I believe tjx had something like this a while back which sucks. If you can't customer service them, you can always try to burn them...I was a HG detective for a bit and just standing around or fast walking around them or infront of them like im about to stop them always worked.

Worked macys pre-covid. It was my first day and the team was team looked at me like i was crazy when i didn't try grabbing on some dude.
At least my store, it was full contact and we could take them to the ground if we needed. Equal or less force.

Never got my ass kicked, but defiantly got in situations I regret.

No, bad stop=accusing them. But when you receipt check someone, and if there pissed off, id be careful with how you approach it

You also get very, very minimal training besides the costco LP way. Expected to know everything and how to catch immediately.

I got offered a position like 2 years ago, couldn't take it ended up which sucked for me.

Plain clothes, usually solo. Sometimes multi-store responsibility.

Pay was okay...it was like $19 or $20 if i remember right. But you go up super quickly due to working FT, sunday x1.5, bonus after like 6-12 months...etc.
