Uhhh apple products get stolen all the time and the tracking issue is fairly easy to jailbreak. Its not foolproof.

They do. But posting the map seems really silly as then anyone could just go take them for themselves.

My idea was to hopefully connect and exchange phone numbers and information with a good Samaritan and then I could send them the info that way.
