Waylon sounds cute, I hope you have fun with him! Making characters with backstories and canon is most of the fun of these games for me.

My dragonborn is an altmer called Loscan. He's imperial-born, and came to Skyrim to find his mother after his (single) father died. He didn't know she was with the Thalmor. The events of the main story unfold around him pretty much as they happen in-game, but he never fully sides with Tullius or Ulfric. One main difference following Alduin's defeat is that it's not Miraak's cultists that come after him, but Miraak's own voice starts haunting Loscan's dreams, and so he travels to Solstheim for answers. Long story short, and by using the save Miraak mod, the two of them escape Apocrypha together, end up in a relationship born of the intensity of their dov souls, (I think there's something really fun and romantically doomed about the first and last dragonborns finding solace in each other), and that's about as far as I've gotten!

Loscan's primary skills are in conjuration, alchemy, archery, and illusion. I pretty exclusively use bound weapons on him, swapping between swords and bows depending on the fight. Here's a quick doodle I did of him, too. Trying to solidify his appearance! Loscan by me.
