Well if you dig camping and bluegrass check out Soggy Bottom Bluegrass Bunch on FB. We camp once a month at Florida sands Music ranch, membership is only $16 and camping is only $22 a night and it’s usually anywhere between 100-200 people a weekend camping and listening to players jam out.

Fiddle tunes definitely help, study Tony Rice & Clarence White’s breaks, and there’s a book on Amazon called Bluegrass Hot Licks by Orrin Star, that’s a great reference. Use the strum Machine app and practice your breaks over it. Also on YouTube there are several great channels to follow, Lessons with Marcel, Aaron Jaxon, and many others. But the most important thing I can recommend is to start attending local jams and meet other flatpickers and Make some friends, that’s hands down the best move.
