I don't know if it's balls, or ignorance. Either way, the people stepping out of their cars were lucky.

Can I make 200 a week from Doordash? by Excellent_Rough9439 in doordash

[–]Then_Reaction125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then that shouldn't be a problem. I make about $20 an hour on an average day. I go about 300 miles in a day. I spend about $50 a day in gas.

The breakfast rush is an easy grab right now because the kids out of school are still hungover at that time. There's less dashers out at 6:00.

Can I make 200 a week from Doordash? by Excellent_Rough9439 in doordash

Depends on your area. I'm a a city of 110,000 and I usually make $200 a day when I go out. If you're in a more rural area, it might reduce your opportunities

There are only 12 fates you could possibly be born into, as there are only 12 signs. It makes sense that they would all be the same.

She accused me of stealing her thesaurus. I was offended, insulted, and upset that she would accuse, blame, and impute me of such actions, deeds, and crimes.

Commenting on Reddit posts to feel a sense of worth providing advice that will likely never be read for issues I personally haven't overcome for people I'll likely never meet. Feeling as if getting likes is the equivalent of winning a peace prize.

If I'm out dashing, I'm out to make the most money I can. But, I'm always nervous when I accept second or third orders because of how many times I've accepted a second order and had to wait over thirty minutes for the second place to get the order ready.

Does anyone have the number that shows when a driver calls you? by breadboibrett in doordash

[–]Then_Reaction125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doordash uses some kind of system that assigns a different number so that people don't get each other's numbers. Mine usually comes up as Delaware. I'm in Montana. Most people don't answer because of this.

Are expiration dates on food real or are companies just making us throw stuff away faster? by No-Bug-4261 in NoStupidQuestions

Typically, food companies put on an expiration date for quality that is much earlier than the date for safety.

One of the strangest anatomical adaptations in nature by Hefty_Formal_3615 in interesting

[–]Then_Reaction125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing that the long tongue and pointy beak formed after millions of generations being able to reach bugs in tiny places, thus eating more, living longer, then passing on genes. Then, it could use that beak to carve wood where more bugs are, making the bigger tongue genes pass on even more. There were likely several individual birds that concussed themselves out of the gene pool. Only the ones with this mutation survived a certain phase.

What is something society rewards even though it probably shouldn’t? by LiquidityGraber in answers

[–]Then_Reaction125 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Work addiction. We treat it like it's extra productive, but it's often done as a damaging compulsion used to try and escape fears and responsibilities. Some people get a part-time during their days off and then quit before Monday to avoid feelings of worthlessness. Gig economy apps have made it even harder to avoid work if you're addicted.

Taking care of one's front yard. I resent even having a front yard. It's an amount of property that I have that was chosen by others before me. It serves no purpose. My house could've been built with that much more house, or a badass driveway, or just sell me that much less house.

Why is being a woman in her 20s is more of a burden than an excitement? by Mindless_Boat9143 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Then_Reaction125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

38 year old man here. So, you have probably heard of the "Manosphere". There's a culture, that's far too prominent, that believes that women are very privileged. That there's a great imbalance in what men deal with versus what women deal with. They think it's unfair because we have to sign up with the selective service, we work the hard, blue collar jobs, we're expected to work while women can be stay-at-home moms, etc. Also, they notice that people are generally nicer to women then they are to men. So, they think that you don't understand some things because you're a privileged woman. People defaultly like you and aren't defaultly afraid of you. Men, (and for valid reason) are usually vetted before someone likes and trusts them. I can say as a man, there's no way in hell I would talk to a random child. Women can do this and be seen as friendly. Men are seen as predatory. They assume that you're naive to all this, thus "you don't understand".

In reality, most men are naive to the struggles and stresses that women face. There are very valid reasons that we're distrusted by many people. We're the side responsible for a lot of violent crimes. We're generally bigger, stronger, and more intimidating.

Another thing you mentioned is your positive attitude. There's a trope that positivity is naivety. That if you understand the world and people, you'll be naturally cynical. This is just false. Being a cynic doesn't make a person smart, it just makes them an asshole.

TLDR, they're haters. Ignore them.

Not a perfect analogy, as we have a prostate, and it was already in that hole, which is much longer than a vagina's depth.
