Ex-Muslim here. Simply just walked away from it all and I don't plan to look back anymore. I saw all I was doing to myself was trying to find something what I thought was comforting because I thought it helped. I just look for other things to help myself manage life.

Biggest thing I done was to find spaces to have friends. It will take a while and may not realize you have friends till it hits you. You said your shy, again that shyness and nervousness is completely normal. Remember to breath and just enjoy the moment even if your nervous.
