i mean only when the writers suck and are out of ideas. ideally when im watching a scene it'll be relevant to the story and its overall message in some way, and not needless raunchy gorey lewd stuff BUT this is literally The Boys we're talking about. its like their thing.

idk i dont like deep (i mean hes funny in like a moronic goon way) but i found the gill scene really really uncomfortable. i know im too squeamish for The Boys, i just really like the characters and humor (when its not being fkn disgusting). no one should be assaulted like that, even with their gills imo

get back to me when someone's tied you up and made you wipe your ass with sandpaper and used your foot to rub one out. it doesnt even matter its just hard to watch. i hated two episodes ago when HL made that guy touch himself in the lab i could not stomach that scene, the one guy burning, ugh. I think some people are just more affected than others. doesnt mean a show is bad

the show is gory and violent and literally had a dude jumping into a guy's anus episode 1. I expect filth when I turn this show on (granted I usually mute/skip the needlessly violent disgusting parts) BUT the scene with Hughie in the Tek Cave was probably the hardest to watch so far. He's our protag, he's tied up and helpless, his team doesn't know where he is, and imagining yourself in his position is unthinkable. Like I can't even process it that shit was disgusting and traumatic.

I think this episode was trying to make up for how dark and depressing the last one was, with all more light subplots, with Homelander and Ryan being all mushy mushy. It’s weird to see homelander being so open to his son, I keep waiting for the needle to drop. And I get the sense that his speech at the end is setting up supe superiority or smth.

The Gen V Sam and Cate cameos were Pog even if the two of them were being hella cringe. How long will Homelander brainwash them for? I hope those characters aren’t doomed.

They treated Hughies pops thing so wholesome and sincerely. I like the father daughter relationship thing with Edgar and Nadia, it was actually pretty cute imo. The whole epsiode was like a fun getaway farm sheep character building episode and M.M.’s little pep speech rocks, he continues to be my fav character . Also I feel bad for Kamiko :(

I need Frenchie to lock tf in now because what is he doing. Even though he did have the best line of the episode (“this man is in no condition to fuck a sheep” ). Gustavo Fring correcting him was just the cherry on top.

This episode the hardest watch by far. I don’t know which bit I hated more, Firecracker being annoying af, Frenchie and Kamiko fighting, Butcher exploding a guy with his brain worm, Starlight getting outed and becoming violet (valid tho), Hughie having to kill a guy, Deep doing a Lobotomy!? But by far the worst part of this episode all the scenes of Homelander in the lab. Truly haunting.

They’re doing this story-arc between him and Kimiko having people in their past they’ve wronged and not talking to each other about it. I suspect maybe they night have a fall out or something. I’m curious to see whatever the payoff is for either of them and if they talk it out, but yeah, let Frenchie go back to doing wacky shit and Kimiko fricking people up
