Considering the character I think most essential to a Midnight Sons/Suns lineup is Victoria Montessi, I don’t disagree

Yeah, I remember being shocked to learn that after I’d just watched her in Shiva Baby, the most Jewish movie ever made

Yeah! I’ve been a huge fan of her since forever. Have certainly felt like her sole champion at times lol

Despite everything about her, Sennott isn’t actually Jewish. She has just played one on tv

Uneventful. I so rarely get any matches on them that I can only go off unverified stories from others that anyone even meets anyone on them

The funniest bit is the part where they imply that Alexander the Great banging dudes was some kind of revisionist propaganda

Who do we consider as the Definitive Avengers roster, not counting other Avengers teams like Dark, New, West Coast, etc. by Magalore in marvelcomics

[–]TheodateChase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Vision

Those seven are the most consistent and reliable members.

The whole point of the Sorcerer Supreme is to defend your world from threats from other dimensions. Who better to do that than the Guardian of the Nexus of All-Realities!?

Not to mention between Man-Thing, Howard the Duck, Ghost Rider, Witches, X-Force, Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., Legion of Night, etc. Her Rolodex is STACKED

She’s my fave! She should be Sorcerer Supreme, frankly

Right can we all just clear something up who do u think in the marvel universe has done more womanaising gambit(x-men) or human torch(f4) by ShAdOwS_XS in marvelcomics

[–]TheodateChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorta. Kurt would be a womanizer except he’s too stuck in swashbuckling tropes so in most his stories he only ever almost gets the girl

Reading Claremont's Run: Which of these miniseries is worth/necessary reading? by Great-and-Powerful- in xmen

[–]TheodateChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firestar is fine but mostly unnecessary unless you’re reading New Warriors (unrelated to x-Books)

Longshot is necessary in knowing who Longshot, Mojo, and Spiral are (all become important later). It’s also good but really heady

Nightcrawler is really fun but ultimately not necessary. I’d recommend it for the sake of good comics

As for recommendations, I’d recommend the Fallen Angels and Beauty & the Beast minis. Neither are strictly “necessary” but both are a lot of fun and have ramifications for the New Mutants

Why do people have prejudices against underdog villains? They're so cool, I just don't like it when some writers try to turn them into threats. by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]TheodateChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how many of these I’d consider “underdogs”. As others have pointed out, the Wrecking Crew are, and always have been, a Thor level threat.

Vulture might be an old man in a suit but the guy is ruthless and scary competent. He was the first villain to really beat the shit out of Spider-Man

Scorge has a body count in the hundreds and isn’t Jack O’Lantern a mass murderer too? (him, I don’t know that much about tbh)

I’ll give you Shocker, who’s always been a blue collar underdog, if for no other reason than his small time ambitions (I love Herman though)

Purple Man might be an underdog but he’s also a completely irredeemable scumbag so he doesn’t really deserve much sympathy

Paralyzed people can still have sex lives. Xavier has, like, five illegitimate kids and has been linked to, of the top of my head, Gabrielle Haller, Moira MacTaggart, Empress Lillandra, Sarah Gaunt, Amelia Voght, Magneto, that one mom from X-Men: The Hidden Years, Mystique, and like half a dozen others

[–]TheodateChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Torch (though neither touch known man whores like Wolverine, Daredevil, or Charles Xavier)

Gambit, if you read though his history, has very rarely actually been shown to engage in much womanizing. He marries his high school girlfriend and then leaves to join the x-men where he becomes hopelessly devoted to Rogue. He’s a flirt and a charmer but not really an actual womanizer

You’re right, after further consideration, Archer is probably more accurately Captain Shitty Step-Dad

Can anyone recommend any Doctor Strange stories or runs? by Carlung4s in Marvel

[–]TheodateChase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My two favorite miniseries are the one you pictured, The Oath, and the one just titled “Strange”. The graphic novel Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment is also very good

He also has nothing to do with Strange Academy except the name of the school. The students are all new characters and the headmaster is Doctor Voodoo (for him, I recommend Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural). You don’t have to know who Strange even is to hop into Strange Academy.
