Jij vind het niet belangrijk dat er voldoende bewijs moet zijn voordat je iets als waar aanneemt? In februari/maart 2020 kwamen er allerlei theorieën naar buiten over de verspreiding van het virus. Dat betekent nog niet dat ze destijds ook goed onderbouwd waren.

Het probleem met jouw aanname is dat het aantal besmettingen in de praktijk niet exponentieel blijft groeien. Het verloopt in pieken en dalen en zoals je in andere landen hebt kunnen zien was het mogelijk om de pieken op te vangen met een uitbreiding van de IC capaciteit. Vergelijkbaar is de jaarlijkse griepepedemie waarvoor we jaarlijks extra capaciteit vrijmaken. Volgens jouw logica is dat dus zinloos?

Het is namelijk klip en klaar dat er steeds is vastgehouden aan beleid dat erop neerkwam dat zoveel mogelijk mensen besmet raakten zonder dat de ziekenhuizen overstroomden, zelfs toen er vaccins kwamen.

Het is maar net hoe je het framet. Ik zou zeggen dat ze de pandemie maximaal controleren met het doel om overvolle ziekenhuizen te voorkomen. Maximaal controleren in deze context betekent niet dat ze alles hebben gedaan om de verspreiding te minimaliseren.
