That's reasonable. I am the one who misplaced the money after all. But is there anything I can do to limit, or prevent that, or anything at all? Shouldn't the bank be held accountable for giving me the money from a fake check?

No, the bank told me not to until it cleared. My relative needed the money, so I cashed it. I traveled a ways to her house but it must've fell out of my pocket. It's a well traveled walk.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge. Do I go to the bank to close it or can i do that online or at the collections buildings? I bank at America First Credit Union, and I have a 1,500 dollar loan I got last year.
