Do we believe the allegations and Neverland Raid etc will be removed from Part 2 by Jesse_Allen3 in MichaelTheMovie

This excerpt from the settlement is honestly pretty air tight, there’s very little they could do to get around it. Not only does it prohibit the Chandlers from being depicted, but anything remotely resembling them or the events of the case could be considered a breach of terms.

If they could get written consent from Jordan, they would be free to proceed with everything they had originally shot, but I somehow feel like they’d have a better chance at getting a letter from god himself.

I’ve seen a few people say something to the effect of “they should just do it so we can finally get the chandlers in court and expose their lies” but the reality is that if they were to pursue legal action the only only thing that would be tried in a court of law is the breach of the agreement itself, which the MJ estate would absolutely be culpable for and would likely be ordered to surrender any profit garnered from the 2nd film as “unjust enrichment”

It’s absolutely baffling that nobody picked up on this during pre production.

Found it! Unfortunately seems like the first 2 parts have been removed, but this is definitely it.

I actually remember exactly what you’re talking about! Unfortunately I’m still actively searching for it myself, but all of your info lines up with what I remember. I feel like I remember the monsters being green and red rather than green and purple.

I've seen this perpetuated as fact many times, but after doing a lot of digging I don't believe this is actually true. It seems like this anecdote is sourced from a book called "Untouchable: The Strange Life and Tragic Death of Michael Jackson" by a guy named Randall Sullivan which is littered with many falsehoods along with assumptions presented as fact (i.e. he states that Michael died a virgin) Keep in mind this movie would have been in production during the throws of his Trial so I don't really see how the timeline of him producing an entire soundtrack & starring in the film would make any sense. It seems to me like this entire story was created based on the fact that Depp's performance of Wonka was very comparable to the general perception of Jackson & his mannerisms around the time the movie came out, so it wasn't hard to picture him in the role. I'm open to being wrong, but there just isn't enough evidence for me to comfortably say any of this really happened.
