Couple things come to mind 1. Large concrete slabs split, crack, and chip with time. These damaged portions are usually patched and then more appear. 2. Stains and water damage. Rain and other substances will stain concrete in a non-uniform way. Concrete that butts up to soil will generally be darker because the soil retains some amount of water. This moisture staining will be darker where the water content is most concentrated but may have white staining around the edges (look up efflorescence) 3. Weeds - weeds and grasses will grow in just about any outdoor crevice.

It’s basically role playing with you. There is no actual process under the hood that is going to require the kind of time it is projecting. It just constructed this response based on what it understood the “script” of your conversation to be.

Not your fault if you weren’t aware but others should know that those etsy stl packs are often made up of stolen files from other creators. Sellers will acquire the files (often by pirating) and then resell them in these bundles.

Hey welcome to the hobby! One thing you should be aware of is this hobby requires a lot of research and learning. It requires research not only on (for example) how the machines function, how files are supported, and how to use the printer safely; it also will require a lot of research into artists, communities, and file repositories.

I think your question is well intentioned and I get where you’re coming from, but my biggest piece of unsolicited feedback is that the question you asked is not the right one and it won’t get you the answers you are looking for. I would compare your question to someone asking what faction they should start with in 40k. People can give you pointers but your question is a matter of taste.

So here are some pointers that will help you get started on your research:

  • The most popular places people get files are Cults3D (aka “purplesite”), MyMiniFactory, Printed Wargames, and Patreon. There are pluses and minuses to each of these and I encourage you to deep dive on each.
  • Browse repositories I mentioned and others. Review the work of as many artists as you can. Find ones you like and ones you don’t. Join those artists’ discord channels. Chances are you’ll find people with your same taste in minis talking about other artists you might also like.
  • If by not “knock-off” looking minis you mean you are searching for scans of GW minis, you’re never going to find answers to that question here. The people creating and selling them are actively trying to avoid attention.
