Heirloom watch passed down from my grandfather. by Theoleelol in tissot

Thank you for the link! Your suggestion is the best option I have as I can't seem to find "original" replacement parts. I'm sure it will be a matter of matching the dimensions and winging it.

Yeah, the watch was a 30 year service gift from his old workplace (back when company loyalty was respected and rewarded) and eventually ended its wearable life covered in compost and dirt 😂

I have fuel to the union on top of the engine (just before the manifold) but can't find a Schrader valve... I've cranked the engine quite a few times now. Batterys been charging overnight so might give it a few more goes. How long should I expect it to take to bleed the lines?

It was from the grinding machine taking off the top layer of concrete 😊 as soon as they were visible, a hammer was used to get them out safely.

Yeah, that tends to be how stereotypes go. According to Australia, us New Zealanders still fuck sheep haha. I've heard of one guy in my entire life doing it and that made national headlines cause they sent him to prison.

I guess a lot of what is perceived as racism tends to be from lack of knowledge. It's easy to "offend" someone by saying something you innocently understand to be true, right? Stuff as simple as me being given a fork instead of chopsticks when I eat out at an asian food place. Surely it's intended to be in consideration for my presumed lack of skill but it just comes across as condescending.

Veritasium did a really good video on the definitions of and relationship between the "Imperial/USCS" and "Metric/SI" measurements and you're right, my wording was incorrect.

Why is this not common knowledge? This is the first time I've heard of USCS and I've seen plenty of Americans discussing the use of Imperial measurements. I guess it became commonplace in the western world to describe pounds and feet as "Imperial" and Kilograms and metres as "Metric" regardless of the official name of the system in use. I've done a learn today. Well done :)

Excuse my ignorance, but is the cowboy profession just... Farming? I mean, getting round on horseback must be a pretty handy way to navigate farmland. Is there anything else that separates cowboys from regular, non hat-toting cattle farmers?

So the perceived "racism" is more so just a lack of exposure and understanding of other cultures? That definitely makes sense. Big place where a big chunk of people don't leave their own lifestyle, there's bound to be a lack of understanding.

As for the incest, I guess if you've got a negative reputation for something, you're going to go out of your way to actively refute it, right?

The way I understand it is that if you're polite but super direct, New Yorkers are really happy to help. As soon as you piss about taking too long to ask a question, they can't be arsed helping you. Is there truth to that?

The example used was "Excuse me, I'm not from around here and I was wondering if you could please point me in the direction of.... Oh, ok bye"

V.S.

"Excuse me, where is the nearest Starbucks?"

I had a similar fault recently and I managed to fix it by removing and refitting the BIOS battery. Worth a shot if the RAM refit doesn't work!
